My cat's urine volume has more than doubled recently and she's been throwing up nearly every day for about the last week. We are using a food recommend by the vet. The vet rant some test that ruled out diabetes and a UTI.

I wonder if it is time to switch to a new vet.

Vomiting and increased urination are both signs of kidney failure. She needs more extensive blood work than what your vet has run in order to diagnose this, but I urge you to get her to a vet (yours or another one) quickly. She might need intravenous fluids, from what you're describing.

Good luck.

despite what the vet says, you may want to try a different food. I have a very sensitive cat to... we used the food the vet thought, but that didn't work. we now use purina. You can also stop using any water liquid fluid stuff you put in the water. that upset my cats stomach too.

As already stated, it could be kidney failure. I've heard of other cats who have had the same problem. But it could also be something new that affected your cat's system. Maybe the new food is not suiting her. Also, did she receive any vaccines recently? Many cats can have serious reactions to vaccines, in which case you would have to call your vet to give her something to lessen the reaction.

Sounds like someone poisoned your cat, or the cat ingested something poisonous by mistake. Have the cat checked for poisons.
