Like the 1st poster..HOW do you know a cat person from a mile away???? What is it about that person that is different..the way they walk, the way they feel about themselves, their outlook, attitude, do they have a certain 'air' about them..like the cats have??
Or should I ask..if you are out walking and you see a cat and dog walking done the street..your eyes go directly to the cat....

Why..What is it about them that makes you look at the cat first....or maybe you look at the dog first...

There is a difference in people that have a cat or dog....I can't figure it out...would like to know

Totally! Dog people are usually pretty normal people, very informal relaxed people. Cat people are just slightly aloof, and have a feeling of self-respect... kinda hard to describe, a lot like cats. Cats won't stand for disrespect. :D Cat and dog people tend to be relaxed and informal, but they still have that self-respect.

(I agree with the first poster, can tell a cat person from a mile away! :D)

I never thought of that. I'm a cat person, but I don't know how my personality differs from a dog person. Interesting though.

I have friends with dogs and some with only a cat, then there are those that have both. The only thing I notice is that they love them the same, an animal lover is always an animal lover. no difference.

I find that the people in the dog section are very much into their answers and they can get very serious. And at times with the cat section they can get that way to but not as bad.

Dog people will usually stop and chat (sometimes for ages) cat people may or may not but if they do they tend to look like they are always about to dash off !
Dog people are more down to earth with a generaly good sense of humour, cat people are flighty and/or sarcastic.
People with both are unpredictable.

I can usually spot a non-animal person from a fair distance.

I don't usually make generalisations but your question made me think ( quite a feat at this time of night !)
In case you wondered - I have both.

i really haven't noticed a difference... i wonder if people that have both cats and dogs are different...(me)

i would rather think that people with cats are used to being ignored and people that have dogs are used to being followed around... looks like i am used to both....

People who have both cats and dogs are more friendly and loving. People who have cats are very adventurous and fun.

people that have cats and or dogs are animal lovers and generally gentle and kindly dispositioned (don't say this too loudly for some dog owners like to give the appearence of being very rough and tough)
we're all softies when it comes to critters.

I think all people, who love their pets, are essentially the same. Dog people may be a little more athletically active, and cat people a little more home oriented.

Most people with dogs are more outgoing. People with cats tend to be more chill. ♥
