My mom said I can't get her fixed until we get a new dryer and my sister just had a $300 Sweet Sixteen, so that really doesn't help. There doesn't seem to be any male cats that my neighbors have that aren't spade. So, can Boots even GET pregnant at her age or should I worry. We can't bring her inside, because my dad and brother and sister are all really allergic. Any advice or do I just wait and see?

My lovely little kitty snuck out of the house the other day, unbeknownst to me. Since she came back, I have noticed that she has fleas. What do you recommend to get rid of the fleas?

well i just got back from vet and they said she has a fever.
but is it really true thats the reason she lost appetite cause of a fever? I have thought it was my sewing needle or it was a digestive problem. I guess she's clear of that but she has fever :( do you think if she gets better will she eat again? i hope she doesn't need to see vet again cause it cost me 77 bucks for this.

My cat is 8 months old and weighs about three pounds. I am syringe feeding her at the advice of the vet after she hasn't eaten for almost five days. I'm using the Prescription Diet A/D, watered down just enough so I can pull it into the syringe.

But I'm not really sure the full amount she should be getting each day, how much her little tummy can hold in one feeding, and how frequently I should be feeding her.

She's not thrilled about the syringe, but she's accepting it pretty well, so I want to get as many calories in her as I can each day.

I flicked my cigarette once into a nearly empty cheese dip can because it was garbage and my cat ended up licking up a good portion of the cheese in the can.... will this harm her in any way?

My cat came on heat and I thought she was pregnant, but then she came on heat again about 8-10 days later. Is this normal? All my other cats became pregnant the first time so this has not occurred before. (Don't worry, I rehouse all the kittens to extremely good homes for those of you who think I am irresponsible!).

does it matter what breed of cat you adopt? its not as inportant as a dog breed, but all cats are unique, even two of the same breed!

i've done online tests and the cat most suited to my life is a ragdoll kitten but i love silver tabby cats!

does it really matter what breed ur cat is? my friend just adopted a cat because he was an unwanted in the litter because he had fleas. he looks like this:

my friends cat looks like the bottom one. what breed is it by the way?"?!

My cat pees on the bed 1-2 times EVERYDAY. Sometimes he does it while we're in bed sleeping, peeing on us. The vet said it's not a medical problem, my cat's urine and feces was tested and were fine. He does it whether or not his litterbox is clean, and we've sprayed pheromones to get him to stop. He hasn't. We also clean the bedsheets and the pee spots with Nature's Miracle. What can we do? We've tried everything, and it's unbelievably frequent and ruining my life. I have enough stress without this.

If I use soap or amonia will that cause the cat to avoid the litter box and do her business elsewhere in the house?

I adopted a kitten a week ago from a very nice Animal Shelter and it died the next day. They did a health check on her before we got her, how does this happen?
Could she have had a disease?

Kitten had:

-noisy breathing, when she breathed it sounded as if she were purring (both on inhaling and exhaling). It almost sounded as if she had mucous in her lungs.

-she had diarrhea, and vomitted once

=(

Anyone have an idea?

Ok I have four cats (and I love them) but one of them has long hair and I have a problem with gritty stuff in his hair. I think its flea poop but Im not sure. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get rid of the stuff? I cant really bathe him becuase of his long hair (it will knot up). My mom found something that works kindof, she vaccums it out. But it scares the dat really bad and I think its kind of cruel. So if you have any ideas pleasem help. Also any ideas on keeping a kitten out of a christmas tree? Thanks

I was petting my cat, who is possibly FIV positive (he had a false-positive test as a kitten and hasn't been retested yet), and I found a tick embedded in his neck. I know the tick has been there for a few days, as I felt it 2 days ago. I removed the tick and have cleansed the area on my cat's neck with rubbing alcohol and then antibiotic cream to prevent infection. I dropped the tick into an alcohol solution. I believe I got the head. The tick is cream and it has black legs. I looked up Google images, but that wasn't much help as it said deer ticks both were cream with black legs.

Also, should I take my cat to the vet for a check-up or wait for signs and symptoms first? So far, my cat is acting perfectly normal and has a great appetite and is very active. I live in Central Florida and didn't think we had deer ticks around here.

I have 6 cats. I am 22 wks pregnant. My cats were recently soaked with Lime Sulfur Dip because one of them has a very rare mite that the Lime Sulfur Dip only will kill and it has to be applied for 6 weeks, once a week. Its active ingredient is 97.8% Lime Sulfur Concentrate. I asked the nurse and she said I shouldn't touch it & let someone else bathe them which I did. But you're not suppose to dry them so they get this stuff everywhere and I even got some on me and wasn't suppose to but I washed right away. My house smells like rotten eggs and so do my hands because my cats are dry but the stink is still on them. I had a fan & opened window yesterday. Window is open right now.

Anybody else use this stuff or know anything about it? It can cause skin irritation. It's something that we have to do because of this mite and if we don't it causes severe itching on the cats and I don't need any more open sores on them.
Is it bad I can still smell this stuff and should I not have used it?

I bought my two month old kitten last week from Little Critters. The first day he seemed reallly fine, not eating that much but, i thought it was because of the move. The second day he didn't eat at all. I bought thae same food as the store was using and he wouldn't eat it but, he would go to the litter constantly. diahrea.. I took him to the vet on the third day, and she said he was okay but he is only 1.2 pounds. She gave me some wet recovery food for him to try. He still wasn't eating. I called the store and the breeder of my kitten (tobbasco) and they said that he was fed chicken before he had went to the store where I bought him. So, basically, he didn't eat for the entire time he was at the store!! Now, he doesn't eat anything but boiled chicken. I don't know what to do. I have tried mixing the chicken with wet and dry food and he just eats the chicken around it..Is the chicken causing the excessive pooping? He cries out when going to the bathroom, I think he hurts when he goes.

I asked a question earlier, and I was wondering, if I treat My cats for ear Mites and they dont have them, would it hurt or affect them? They have flea collors, and they have all four been scraching at the ears/ heads. There ears are dirty, but its hard to tell what from, living outside or ear mites. Any suggestions? My parents wont go to the vet, so All I can do is go buy something for ear mites. But I want to make sure thats what they have. Could the flea collor be cousing them to scrach around that area, becouse sometimes they scratch there too. Should I take one of one of them and see what happends? And should I see If walmart(thats where Iam going) has any cat ear wipes, and use those on them and see if it helps? Thanks!
