I flicked my cigarette once into a nearly empty cheese dip can because it was garbage and my cat ended up licking up a good portion of the cheese in the can.... will this harm her in any way?

Nothing will happen and just so you know Ash was used to brush teeth in the early 1800's and they lived longer than we do these days, shows you how some people can think and so waht if you smoke, I smoked for eight years, and you can stop when you feel like it, ignore the others.

I would say the cat is in grave danger. Contact the vet. In addition to nicotine poisoning, there are numerous other chemicals and toxins in cigarettes that can be toxic to a 10 pound animal in very small doses. A whole pack is a lot. I would look at this like an emergency situation and immediately call the vet.

first of all, you shouldnt have cigarette ash laying around the when your cat is there! and she should probably be fine, but if it starts acting weird, you should call the vet.

If you smoke, you shouldn't have a pet in the first place, because they could die from the fumes even! Maybe even secondhand smoke!
