well i just got back from vet and they said she has a fever.
but is it really true thats the reason she lost appetite cause of a fever? I have thought it was my sewing needle or it was a digestive problem. I guess she's clear of that but she has fever :( do you think if she gets better will she eat again? i hope she doesn't need to see vet again cause it cost me 77 bucks for this.

when a cat has a high temperature there appetite will become reduced. When her temperature comes down she should get her appetite back if it doesn't come back you will need to take her to the vet for further investigations.

You're still not quite getting it are you?

I beg you to get the vet to explain all the answers to your questions. Yes, cats can lose their appetite for a wide variety of reasons. Do you feel like eating when you're hot and feverish?

She may well have to go back to the vet. Medicine isn't a magic wand that's waved and poof your animal is better, it's a process. If the cat gets better than yes it will eat again. If it' not eating, then it's still ill. As to what's wrong with your cat - we don't know, but the vet probably has an idea, so pick up the phone if you have questions!

Think back to the last time you had the flu, you had a fever and you ached all over.....did you feel like eating? Yes, they can lose their appetite with a fever, also with head congestion (they can't smell their food)......try warming up a little bit of canned food, just enough to make it aromatic. You can try small jars of strained meat baby food to see if you can spark interest in eating. I have found the strained chicken or turkey is good for this.......put the whole jar in hot water to warm it up. Offer small amounts or take a little on your finger and wipe it on her mouth. You also might call the vet clinic and ask to speak to a vet tech and get some advice on how to make her feel better.....Make sure if they gave you medication for your cat that you are giving it correctly. Did they say why she has a fever? Is she vaccinated? Does she go out side? You really need to spend some more time with the vet and get all your questions answered.

some years in the past I merely approximately lost my cat to pussycat Rhinotrachitis. She had caught it from me going right into a puppy keep and getting the germ on my shoe. Than she licked it off. She does no longer consume by way of fact her nostril exchange into so stuffy so I gave her some canned purple salmon and he or she ate that. She exchange into so vulnerable she does no longer even get off my mattress. She does no longer pass she exchange into so functional. i took her to the vet and that they gave her a collection of medicine. It took some days for her to get returned on her ft yet after day 3 she exchange into no longer one hundred% greater beneficial yet she exchange into plenty greater beneficial. She did no longer die from it. She remains alive. My suggestion. provide your cat some greater days and if its no longer greater beneficial take it returned to the vet. confirm your cat gets water however you do no longer like it to dehydrate.
