How much does this cost? And is it at walmart? Its to kill my cats ear mites.

from what i was told. ear mites feed off wax in the ears. clean out the wax with a cotton ball. and u will be able to CONTROL the ear mites. as without food they will starve and begin dying off. however you still need to check with a vet. the vet may prescribe ear drops. or you may even just get a recomendation for a certain kind of over the counter medicine for your fur baby.

Any type of oil can be used to kill ear mites. The best oil to use is mineral oil. What the oil does is drown the mites and it sticks to them and suffocates them. You must clean the ears every day with a cotton ball. Then put the oil in the ears well down into them not just at the top. Rub the ear very hard. let the cat shake it's head then wipe the excess oil away. You will have to do this everyday for at least 2 weeks.
Even if you use a mitracide you will have to treat for 2 weeks. ear mites are very hardy and stubborn to kill.

Mites are HARD to get rid of. you can use mineral oil and clean the ears out with it every other day, but it may take a couple of months.
The best is to clean well and then put in a mitacide for faster results.
Whatever you do, cleaning the ears out WELL and OFTEN is the key.

Plain olive oil is as effective for treating ear mites as any prescribed or over the counter meds available.Olive oil is the basic ingredient in all ear mite meds.
