next, she is on the floor, coughing. It's not constant, and doesn't strike at any particular time or with any pattern. One moment she's fine, next, she's coughing, then she's done and fine again. Help?

I found a cat under my house and SHE adopted us. Well before i had a chance to get her fixed she got pregnant. She had 5 kittens. They are doing very well but she is so thin!! and getting thinner. If I were to see this cat on the street I would feel sorry for her!! I dont know what to do....I feed her 1-2 cans a day and I have a continuous feeder and water of dry cat food in the kitchen I know that she is eating but I am afraid that the kittens are litrally sucking the life right out of her!!
Does any one know something I can do or give her to get more calories in her? The kittens are to young to stop feeding as they are about 4 weeks.
Thank you for any help, ideas!!

Our cat has always been large...she was already huge when we adopted from a shelter when she was 3. She's almost ten now and she's a siamese/tortoise shell mix.

In the last couple of weeks, her urine output as increase dramatically...more than doubled. I know for humans, that can be a sign of type diabetes. She doesn't appear to be in any physical distress, but I'm a little worried and I'm schedule a vet appointment.

Me and my girlfriend just got a 6 week old kitten, and both work at the same time during the day for the most part. So when we go to work we put him in the bathroom with his food and water dish, and his litter box. He also has a few toys in there as well as a little kitty home thing we bought at the pet store. We also have to put him in there at night when we go to bed right now, cause if we keep him in our room he runs around all night (including over us) and keeps us up. When we are home though we have him out and play with him and let him wander around our apt. Is doing this ok, or is it bad for him?

i let him out last night for a couple hours which was a couple hours too long, he is appox 10 to 12 months old. at some point that night i heard a cat fight outside but didn't even think about Guss (the cat). when we looked for him he was no where to be found and he usually sits at the door waiting to be let in, but he wasn't.

i have no clue if he is dead or alive and im trying to imagine where he would be. where do you think a young cat might be at after getting into a fight with another cat and being locked out of his house??

please, i am willing to read anything. thank you...

If there was Miss Universe for cats my cat will definately be in Top 10 place. Well I am worried about her as she is so beautiful , already some male cats in the neighborhood have been 'hitting' on her. Should I be worried about her safety ??

Can anyone help? My cat had a bad limp last week. He then went outside and didnt come back for about 4 days. When he came back his leg was even worse and he has a sack of fluid (possibly and absess) by his leg. I called the vet and it will cost close to $400 to fix him if its not to late. I really cannot afford that. I feel horrible and am losing sleep because my poor cat is in pain. How can I make him more comftorable or what can I do for him to help? I think he may be dying. I applied a warm pack to it in hopes it will drain. Any help would be great. Thanks you.

We found 4 kittens in our yard 4 weeks ago. I would say by now they are around 5-6 weeks old. We have noticed the past three days the mom cat is no where to be found. I know over a peiord of time the mom would leave but i just wonder why they do that. Plus, how does a mom cat know when to walk away from her babies?

My boyfriend loves dogs. He has always had dogs around when growing up, and he has always dreamed of having dogs when he finally moves into a house (we live in an apartment now).

I love animals, but I really don't ever want a dog. Especially a big dog, like my boyfriend wants! I don't want to insult any dog lovers, so I won't say why, but let's just say that although I like dogs, I'm more of a cat lover! In my opinion, having a dog is almost like having a child!

I'm just interested in people's opinions on this. I would most likely just say yes, because he's always wanted a dog of his own and I don't think it would be fair to take that away from him. Have you ever been in a similar position? What did you do?

I am a male and I live in a studio apartment with my female cat. Well , I sometimes feel weird changing clothes infront of my cat after I take a shower. My cat glares at me up and down when i am naked and then she seems to makes a face at me. I feel embarrassed and shy sometimes - is it morally ok to change clothes infront of my female cat ? Thanks

I happen to own five cats, and my youngest, Bit, is thought to be, perhaps, part bobcat by my vet. LESS than half, but, still...

He has this strange habit of Dragging the water-bowl into the middle of the kitchen floor, and splashing it everywhere. That, or he just leaves it there for me to trip over in the morning. Is this some sort of wild-cat Habit, or, do normal Housecats do this, as well?

If so, is there anything I can do to curb this Behavior of his?

My cat has what appears to be flea dirt on her chin. It looks like it, but it isn't flea dirt. According to my research it could be feline acne. I have cleaned the area and it keeps coming back. Like black scabs or something. Is there a way to be sure this is it short of going to a vet?

If it is feline acne, treatment ideas would be great as well. Any help appreciated.

Hi! I live in Maryland and I've been looking for somewhere to buy a kitten for a while. I'm definitely looking at the Howard County Animal Adoption center but the adoption fee is so expensive. I was actually looking for a free kitten or a cheap one since cats have so many kittens (mine have already had about 5 combined and we've given all the kittens away for free). Any ideas on where to look??

A few months ago my cat, Patricio, became very ill. He couldn't eat, it seemed that every time he would try to he'd get the urge to vomit. So of course I took him to the vet and they gave him some antibiotics, the vet suspected he had parasites... He recommended a treatment and after following through for a couple of days he appeared to be healthy. He still continued to have some problems with hairballs and such but nothing serious.

A couple of days ago I was petting him and I noticed he had some lumps in his stomach. It really concerned me. I don't know how long they've been there for I don't continuously and responsibly check him for things like these. I'm concerned as to what it can be. I'm going to take him to the vet on Saturday but that's a few days away from now and I'm desperate. I need some advice, opinions, suggestions.

Some have told me that they're most likely parasites, while others tell me it might be cancer.

Much appreciation in advance.
