Most of mine hid. 2 thought it was in the house, so they bolted when I opened the door. I suppose I will see them tomorrow!
One tried the climb the wall. He was so scared he litteraly tried running up the wall a bunch of times!

4 cats, 4 reactions. Only 1 of ours hid this year, but he came out from under the bed shortly after the commotion ended. Our girl surprised me by remaining in sight, although she seemed a bit nervous. Our oldest guy (about 10) stayed pretty calm, as usual & our 5 month old kitten seemd nervous until he realized neither the humans nor the 10 year old cat were concerned-- after that, he calmed down & even watched some of the pyrotechnics from the window!
I hope yours have calmed dwn by now too & that the ones who bolted come home safely.

I wasn't home with my cats this year, but in past years I've had various reactions. One of my cats would sit a safe distance away from the fireworks and watch. One would bolt under the nearest car (the cats I'm refering to are all outside cats). The last one would yowl, no matter what. If he could hear fireworks he yowled. It was awful to listen to.

Mine is Pregnant and did very well, just laid around like it was a normal day. I even peeked in from outside and she was laying on the floor while the 4 dogs (pit bulls) played and ran around her. Such a beautiful thing that they all get along so well... Hope your's come home soon!!

Whenever anything weird happens, after listening for a while, they both look at me to see how I'm taking it. If I'm freaking out (which I never do), so do they. Usually, I'm not doing anything, just blow them kisses and they both smile and go on about whatever they were doing. Yeh, my cats trust me a whole lot and it is a little disturbing to me because I'm not at all sure I am that reliable.

My 2 babies (1yr. old Siamese) are under my couch now. I don't think I'll see them for a while. I am hoping they will come into my room when I go to bed as it isn't as loud in there due to my air conditioner running.(white noise)

we gave our cats catnip so they were more excited to be playing than anything. none of them were really scared.
one of them is a little skiddish when he gets out the door, but he wasnt any more on edge than usual.
it could have been much worse.
