My kitten bites me and I sometimes hiss at him(8weeksold). Is that bad? Maybe he could be scared of me. I really want him to be a good cat when he grows up. And not have bad habits on biting people.

Apparently my cat is depressed. I know, I know, stop anthropomorphizing him. But he is peeing outside the litterbox, he's older and notoriously stubborn. I've read that introducing a new environment can help them get into better spirits (and stop peeing). Does anyone have any positive or negative stories to share and any helpful tips??

Thanks!!

My kitten is a male and is a month and 3 weeks old. My kitten bites me like crazy. All of a sudden, my kitten got quick and alert. He goes and attacks my skin so suddenly( and it HURTS!!) Why does he do that? I fed him kitten milk(from vet) and he still does that! and I asked my vet and she was like " oh he's just playing around" and I'm like I don't think so!!Hmmmm.... Any advice??

our litter boxes just stink something awful; reeks of ammonia and cat poo. im pregnant and im sure my husband doesnt scoop as often as he should; but is there another way we can help neutralize the odor? about once a week the boxes are completely emptied and rinsed out; i also have my cats on "indoor formula" which supposedly helps with the stink. (BTW we havent noticed a difference after switching)

ok..she WAS potty trained, but i think it was my fault that she stopped. i forgot to clean it for awhile, then she started pooping along the wall where he box is, and peeing on and around a chair in the living room, mostly she sticks to those two spots, but i have cleaned the box and put her in it when i notice what shes done, but she runs back outta it and still doesnt use it. i dont think its medical, cuz the areas are consitent not random, and there have been no sudden changes, other than my litter box cleaning mistake. what should i do to get her to use her box again.

Ok, first off, this is not in MY house. Her dad has cats that i just recently found out have been peeing in my 9 year old daughters bed at his house...gross..she comes home smelling HORRIBLE....hes a dirty *** and obviously does not care...couldnt this be some form of neglect or abuse on a childs health/hygine? were going to court soon - not only this problem, but he has no stove, no fridge...lives in a 400 sq. foot house and thinks he can take her from me!! HA,,,anyhow is it harmful for her to breathe in that amonia smell while sleepin in that bed??

Hi, my cat is around 4-6 years old, has no health problems and is a generally happy cat BUT

she never drinks!

In the two years we've had her, none of my family have seen her drinking from her bowl.

We do see her drinking from the fountain in our back garden every now and then, and she will drink milk whenever we give it her (a little bit once or twice a week as I'm aware most cats are lactose intolerant). I've tried giving her special cat milk but she's not interested.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Could she not like the taste of tap water chemicals?

Has anyone got any experience of the cat water fountains such as http://www.petplanet.co.uk/product.asp?dept_id=363&pf_id=4193 ?

Are there any water treatments available (other than standard human water filters) that can neutralise the chemicals that she might not like?

Thanks!

I have just bought a kitten.
She is all black and very, very fluffy.
She is playful, and friendly.

But

We cant think of a name that fits her description.
The best so far is Midnight.

The norm "Fuffly, Whiskers" etc.. are so used we want something original.

Any Ideas?
Thank you in advance.
Abyss.

My family has adopted a kitten from the shelter. He is eight weeks old. At first he was using his litter box just fine. Suddenly he has been using my living room as his litter box. I keep his box clean. Can somebody help me before I return him to the pound?

Okay me, my sister, and my friends went out to see fireworks and we bought those glow necklaces that are different colors that they sell on the streets. Anyways we get home and my sister is whipping it around and my cat is playing with it, then she puts it out of site so the cat can't a hold of it. When she wasn't looking, he managed to grab the necklace and bit into it and the stuff inside started leaking into his mouth.

He started sprinting around everywhere, foaming at the mouth ( it was just spit bubbles i think because the bubbles were clear) but then my mom caught him and held him and attempted to wipe all the stuff off of the inside and outside of his mouth.

I really don't know if this is bad or not because he seems fine now, and my mom thinks that they wouldn't be selling toxic things to kids in the first place so the stuff inside of it should be safe.
Should i be concerned about my cat or do you think that was happening because he really didnt like the taste of it????
