Check it out with your vet.
When we first got "Scrappy" her one eye did that and they said to try and flush it with water (yeah, not that easy). The next day it was swollen shut.
Cats can get eye viruses. They will check it out and I would think they would help that.
Also what kind of chemicals are you using in your home? Cats are very sensitive to different chimicals.
Since I got Scrappy...I have switched what I use to clean!! Made a difference!

Your cats may be suffering from an eye problem. Ever heard of conjunctivitis (inflammation of the eye membranes)? A symptom of this health issue is watery eyes as caused by a viral infection. I think you should consider that your cats may have been affected with this or other related eye health problem. Best thing to do is to contact your veterinarian straightaway to determine the right eye treatment or medication for your pets.

Hi. Sometimes cats, just like us humans, get allergies to our surroundings. Even after they have been in the same surroundings for years. Your vet can prescribe some allergy medicine for your cat if that is the case.

Also they can catch colds...but since this has been going on for several months, my first thought would be allergies.

Best of luck to you & your kitty. Patti
