Is there an emergency vet office in your area? That is the best advice I can give you. Take your cat there. This sounds serious and your cat needs much needed attention by someone who knows what they are doing.

With all that everyone has said, did you bring your cat to the emergency vet to have your cherished family member checked? I hope so. And if you did, what did they find out?

It relies upon on the region. If the canine is whelping a clutter of puppies or a cat has somewhat diarhhea then the 1st selection could be to handle it at abode to work out if the region gets greater powerful. And on an identical time as waiting human beings can ask different puppy proprietors in the event that they have any recommendations on the thank you to handle the project and ask for popular suggestion. If it does not get greater powerful then the subsequent selection is the vet. some human beings do have some hum dingers on right here, yet for the main section the questions are sturdy, valid ones.

If she looks anorexic, then this poor cat has been sick a while. Most vets have an emmercancy number if yours doen't go to the yellow pages and find one. The water drinking may inticate a kidney problem, or some kind of piosoning.

When a cat drinks and pees excessively with weight loss, you are usually talking about diabetes. Right now you can go to the pharmacy and get some ketodiastic reagent strips (ask the pharmasist) to check the urine and see if sugar is spilling in and also if there are ketones. If ketones are present, you have to gfo to the vet immediatly as they can be life threatening. If your cat has diabetes. please contact me as many vets are just not up to date on treatment and I can help you with that.
FWIW STOP feeding dry foods. Canned foods w/o gravy will help against many problems that may arise.

My cat had the same issues. He was sleeping in the bathtub and we had to keep the water running. He use to be 20lbs and dopped to 12lbs. Normal thyroid levels in a cat is around 2. He was at 17. He has been on medicine and will be for a long time. I knew he was better when he started playing again. The doctor said that his levels are much better. Thyroid problems is common in older cats

I agree with TarotByArwen. It sounds like to me also that your cat is suffering from Kidney Failure.
My old cat(Skittles) did the same thing years ago, and died from it.
Get your cat to Emergency Vet ASAP.

There should be an emergency vet somewhere in your area. I would try calling them - she sounds very sick.
