Yeah, hard rubber toys, chair legs, fingers...anything it can get into its mouth...get ready, you're gonna have fun...I would seriously stop by a pet supply and get some tough chew toys and don't let it chew on your hands, shoes or anything. You'll need to establish dominance early with this one and let it know where it fits in the "pecking order" or it will most likely decide for you and you'll have an unruly domineering cat...okay, yeah, they all manipulate us, don't they? K ;o)

He is probably playing. This is what little kittens do with their brothers and sisters too. Sometimes they get in those frisky moods and play too rough though. My cat will get in those moods too, usually when he is tired but fighting off sleep like a cranky toddler. Just spray the cat with the spray bottle when it bites you and it will start to get the idea. Another thing that I used to do when my cat was a kitten is give him a time out. Sounds totally crazy, but it works! My cat used to jump on my head while I was sleeping then bite me so I would put him in the bathroom and close him in there for a few minutes. Then I would go take him out, and if he did it again right away, I would put him back. They learn quickly! Another thing you could do is try to redirect the biting onto a stuffed toy. This sometimes works. My mom has this problem with her cat and the only way she can distract the cat when it gets in a biting mood is to give it a treat. Personally, I think that is rewarding bad behavior, but she says that is the only thing that works for her. Oh, one other thing that the vet said is to lightly flick the cat on the nose if he bites. This is like a spanking to a kid, but be careful not to do it hard enough to really hurt your kitty. They are naughty at this age, aren't they!

What Laurenjade said. Right now, your kitten is teething, so a good chew toy is in order. While I ordinarily don't recommend dog products for cats, this is one time when I do.

it is probably teething, there are some toys marketed for chewing. but like the previous girl said, you might just get a chewy bone for it and see if it will chew on it.
