I am a male and I live in a studio apartment with my female cat. Well , I sometimes feel weird changing clothes infront of my cat after I take a shower. My cat glares at me up and down when i am naked and then she seems to makes a face at me. I feel embarrassed and shy sometimes - is it morally ok to change clothes infront of my female cat ? Thanks

I have a female kitty and I'm totally fine being naked around her - it's almost a must b/c if I shut my bathroom door whilst I shower, she will howl at the top of her little lungs. SO, I leave the door open and as soon as I pull back the curtain, there she is! - waiting to see me in all my glistening splendor. LOL. Okay maybe not.
I feel your pain though. I had a male kitty once and I hated being naked in front of him. I don't think he really cared one way or the other. Just as long as I kept his litter clean and his food coming, he was cool.
I think you're okay to do that. You should talk to her, pet her and interact with her while you are naked. If she senses that you're uncomfortable, then she'll be uncomfortable too.

I think it's OK! Anyway, she's just a cat, and she glares at you just because she has never seen you naked before (she used to see you in full clothes!) And then, maybe if you keep undressing in front of her without paying attention to her, she will then just ignore and go somewhere else to play! That's what I call, "pavlovian"!

Yes the cat is looking at you weird? She is a reincarnated woman who hated men. Just kidding but this is funny. the cat is not looking at you and leering or making faces,they get used to seeing someone with clothes on and when your naked it confuses her and she wonders where your clothes are.
Our cat goes crazy when my wife puts on her police uniform because she has related the uniform to my wife leaving and it upsets her because she knows that she won't be home for a while.

Ummm... yah it's just a cat. Maybe you do feel weird about that yah it may be uncomfortable changing infront of a cat that's a female, but if you always feel like this then maybe you should put the female cat up for adoption, and buy a male cat.

An animal has no concept of clothes or being naked. She is just watching your movements. No morals are involved except in your mind.

She isn't exactly going to tell anyone about your equipment. It don't matter if you undress in front of her. She's not human, even though you may feel she is. It's only awkward to you.

yea its fine, i feel funny doing that too! its probably b/c you like your cat so much you think of her as a personish character.
anyway i think you are soo cute and i think its sweet that you love your kitty so much! I love my silver Tabby so much, its so funny she will look at me then start to meow but then yawn!

well it would be best to change somewhere else.
But since your cat is alone in your apartment, she dosen't have someone.
So she wants the sensation of loving someone.
