he has hair loss that started from below his ears and have made their way on the top of his head and around his neck... it's very dry and parts of it look really red, and i'm gonna take him to the vet, but just wanted to see if there was a disease that fit the symptoms? he also doesn't scratch where it is.

i've had my pet cat 4 a little more than a year. He's more than a pet, he's family. About March or so I started to let him go outside. Sometimes he comes home with scratches 4rm fighting other cats. But recently over the past few days he hasnt been acting the same. He hasnt attemped to even go outside. and he loves the outdoors. He sleeps all the time, he doesnt eat the same, he doesnt want to drink his water, and his skin is turning yellow. Usually he has white fur. I dont have money to take him to the vet, until 2 weeks. Can anybody tell me what might be wrong? I love him so much! PLEASE HELP! OH MYGOD NOW HE'S SHAKING!!

There is this very friendly cat that hangs out were I live( I live in a condo). I have always thought that when a cat is mad, they will hiss. have 5 indoor cats and none of them will hiss unless they are mad or scared. This cat outside will hiss just to be hissing. I will pet him and then walk off he will follow me and I can hear him hiss. Do any of your wonderful people out there know why this cat does this. He is a friendly loving cat so I know he is not mad?????????????????

I havent changed her diet or anything. I was giving her cat replacement milk with some canned food and dry food because thats what they gave her when we got her. She ate fine the first few weeks but a few days ago she just took a couple nibbles and thats it. I have tried different canned foods but she wont eat anything. She wont even drink the milk. This morning when I gave her the food she sniffed it and acted like she wanted to bury it because she would paw around the dish? Any ideas?

The canned food is authority and have also tried friskies. The dry fod is purina kitten chow. She is going to be 12 weeks.

My cat gets so mad sometimes when we don't let him outside. I walk in from outside, and he attacks at my leg after shutting the door - I assume it's because he's mad that we don't let him outside every single time he wants. Sometimes when I'm just petting him, after a while he gets frustrated randomly and starts biting my arm. After I say NO in a firm voice, he meows really loud and starts attacking me at any place he can get.

What do I do? He bites me and my mom all the time and it really concerns me that he is so angry. What's going onn???

who is the youngest and has been neutered. The female has been spayed, but sometiems she refues to let the old cat or the male on the front porch (their sleeping area). She picks fights and is very bratty. She kinda looks Siamese which is why I thought may be why she is so mishevious. She has a lot of energy.
How can I get this cat to stop being a brat?

Our 10 months outdoor cat is missing... we had an emergency and had to leave to another city. Cat noticed that, she knew we were leaving and she followed us up to the end of our driveway. I left her plenty of food and water for her and I noticed that she was eating (hopefully some other cat did not come inside through cat doors). We returned the following day later in the night and she was not there. I called her but nothing. We are so sad... what may have happened? Do cats follow people? Did she tried to find us? Please help!!!

My cat is being neutered and declawed next week and I'm really worried about it...I'm constantly thinking that he's not going to come out okay, or that if he comes out fine then he'll hate me and will be scared to let me hold him or play with him...Should I be worried?

We have been taking care of a stray cat in our yard, and 7 weeks ago she had 4 kittens. I have placed 2 of them, and need to take the other 2 to a Vet but kinda need to know what the average fee would be for a first visit.

my little cat sachmo is nearly 9years old and evr since she has been a small kitten she has been an extremely noisy cat, sometimes she will sit for up to half an hour and jus meaow constantly, when i come home from work she does it and whenever you even look at her she will do it too.shes a very strange wee thing, ive got three other cats and combined they make no where near the same amunt of noise as her,i dont mind it,its her own little unique thing, but it can be annoying sometimes when tryin to sleep or watch tv! maybe its just because shes a female :-) does any1 elses cats have any strange little quirks like this?

I know for a fact that my cat doesn't like people touching her tail. She would scratch your hand if you do it too often. But she purrs too.

My father likes to disturb her by pulling at her tail and he says that she likes it because she purrs. So now, I want to tell him that she actually doesn't like people touching her tail but when he tells me that she is purring, which to me, would mean that she likes it, I just don't know what to say to him.

Can you guys tell me whether or not cats purr when they're angry too?

My husband brought home a street cat 6 month ago. She has long hair and I have been brushing her on a daily basis with a special 'rubbery' brush that I bought to make sure the hair she sheds is on the brush and not all over the house.
The cat is ok with it, but I was wondering whether I am irritating her skin or causing her issues with the daily brushing. Should I brush her less often? I also make sure she gets short haircuts at the vet's office. But still, it doesn't resolve the shedding.

I have just rescued five baby kittens that were abandoned. Anyone want them? I already have a male cat who seems eager to eat them! I know people in European countries keep getting cats and even buying them! Please rescue a lovely kitten, I can arrange even to bring it abroad, but not America, I am in Europe.

Our cat is 7 yrs old and has been limping intermittently for about a month. After a week we took her to the vet who gave her an injection, pain killers and antibiotics. He couldn't see anything on the surface. However, after keeping her indoors for a week, she has started to limp again. If it was a chip, surely it would be a permanent limp? Not sure what to do next. Does anyone know what it could be? Many thanks.
