He is up to date on shots, he has not gotten into human food, but his food has been changed. And notice I asked for a vets opinion.......

and yes I chose the internet because I can get pretty much the same info (thanks specialname76) without shelling out some cash just to be told "go buy this and make sure he gets lots of water"

I am not a vet but have had kittens all of my life. I have 2 now, 12 weeks old. Anyway, make sure that the kitten has not gotten into any "human" food. Your kitten should only be eating kitten food and absolutely no table food. Their tummies cannot tolerate the food yet.

Diarrhea in a kitten can be deadly. Stop waiting around hoping it is going to fix itself and asking for advice on the internet. Get this poor thing to a vet immediately. It won't last much longer if you don't.
P.S. Taking advice from people who aren't vets and don't know what they are talking about is not a good way to save money. Do you really think a legitimate vet spends their time on Yahoo Answers? After this little thing dies you will understand why you should have taken it to a vet and not listened to someone who told you to give it human medication.

The kitten can definately be weened off of the formula now. Check with a local vet, you can do that by telephone and it won't cost you anything. As long as the kitten is eating and drinking kitten chow and water, you can ween it. Just don't stop all at once as the kitten's digestive system needs to get used to eating and processing solid foods. Your goal is to get the kitten to eat solid kitten food and drinking water, not milk or formula. Good luck. Peace;)

Best bet is to take him to a vet. Not much can be done online as there are many potential causes.
Office visits range from $50-$100 based on location. Could be serious, so don't delay. Is it up to date on its shots? Has he eaten anything out of the ordinary or did you recent change his food?
Need more information if you expect to get a solid answer from a vet online.

If you need help from a veterinarian, then call a veterinarian. Your kitten should have already been or be getting ready to go to the vet for his first vaccinations anyway, so call to make an appointment and then discuss the diarrhea problem.

Im guessing you just him??
Did you check with the person you got him from what food he was on? cats can have bad reactions if their food is suddenly changed.
