I have a Maine Coon cat, Marlon, and he is very weird! He loves water and likes to sit in the sink with the tap dribbling so he cat pat at it with his paws; he also sometimes dunks his toys in his water bowl.
He likes to climb too - he gets on our dining table and stretches himself up on his back legs (which is impressive as he's HUGE!) and tries to reach the tassel hanging down from the light shade so he can swing! We're sure he's going to rip the light fitting out of the ceiling one day!
He makes a lot of noise but only when he wants something; if you forget to leave the window open for him at night he come in to the bedroom at about 6:00am and paddle paws you, screaming until you cave and get up to let him out.
He like to sleep on my pillow at night too, wrapped round my head.
The other two cats are pretty normal - Cameron is a big, fat, very lazy ginger cat who can sleep for 23 hours of the day if the mood takes him. Mildred is a small black and white girlie - she sometimes does the miaowing thing - maybe it is a girlie trait!

Cats have personalities just like people. Some want attention more than others, and making noise is how they get it, at least that's how mine does. It's just like a baby that has learned to cry to get attention. She has probably learned that you respond to it. My cat is the same way, for the first half hour or so of getting home from anywhere, she's right under foot.

What kind of cat is she? I have a Burmese cat and he's like that. I likes to talk to us all the time and if he does something naughty and I tell him 'no', he just talks back and carries on doing it. If I move him from where he is sitting for some reason, he will moan at me about it. I think he thinks he owns us.

mymale norweigian forest cat cross is a complainer he'll meow in the middle of the night if he thinks his litter tray needs to be changed, or there is no food down for them to eat. he will also be polite and talk to you if you say hello to him and he chatters at the feathered objects (birds) outside he can't work out what they are. one of his sons is also going to be a chatter box and so is his one and only daughter. the others are like mum who is placid and shy they all pur as soon as you pick them up but some louder than others. i like cats that have something to say whether it is polite who a moan. my adults have just recently turbned one year.

My little calico is quite the talker too, only she talks when she's unhappy about something. It's hilarious because my older cat (who is extremely quiet) will run over to her whenever she starts meowing!

It's not an annoying quirk, but my cat Penne purrs when you smile at her....it's very odd, even if the toddler pulls her fur (which we obviously discurage her to do) Penne just sits and purrs away.

Your little Satchmoe does sound like a talker!

My pair both talk too- though not quite as much. It's gotten to where I recognize them from their vocal ranges as much as anything else.
