I love my cat to death, she thinks she's a baby, I swear. She is very attached to me, and will actually cry (well, meow) and follow me around after I get back from a long weekend. I want to have kittens, because 1) I think they'd be so cute, 2) Give something to my daughter for her birthday, and 3) I know other people who want kittens and love my cat. But I'm worried that her temperment would change if she had kittens. Will she stay the same, or do cats normally change a little afterwards?

Are there any particular dry foods I can buy that reduce a cat's desire for water? My cat drinks quite a bit of water each day and then of course has to load up the litter box.

I fed him some of the brands pet foods on the recall list, how do I know whether or not his condition was not caused by this food? His condition was rather sudden and did not give us a lot of warning. My whole family was devestated by his death. We consider our animals part of the family!

My cat is 12 years old and for the last two weeks I have had him to the vets three times. Originally it was for lethargy, vomitting, high temperature and a distended tummy. The vet gave him a shot but he didn't seem to improve so I took him back. His temperature had dropped and he gave him another shot. The vet thought he had been eating something that had gone off. I had him back to the vet the day before yesterday as he seems to stay (mostly asleep) in the same place for hours on end. His temperature was normal, heartbeat normal and the vet couldn't feel anything in his abdomen to worry about. I know my cat and he just isn't himself. We love him very much and I don't want to sit by if he is genuinely poorly. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

I was wondering when my newborn baby kittens will go potty on their own without their mamas help and when they will be able to train to use a litter box. They are 2 weeks old now I know it isnt anytime soon because they are still so tiny and can hardly even walk but I was curious as to when it will happen?

I have 2 week old baby kittens (and of course their nursing mama) and right now I have a terrible cold. I was wondering if the little babies can get sick from being around me?

My cat is almost 19 years old and has been very healthy. She runs around like she was still a kitten. Recently i took her to the vet with a UTI and had her medicated. They then put her on a diabetic diet as she is slightly over weight (14lbs) and gave her the full vaccines. It's now been about 2 weeks and she suddenly is not walking and when she does walk it's very slowly and is walking very strange with her hind legs (they almost limp) and she will not eat. She'll lay in bed all day and i have to hand feed her. Someone suggested that it was a stroke. any suggestions?

Hello, I have 2 cats, and the one is white/orange and the other is grey. The white one sheds ALOT! and currently we have this blue color sofa and it shows alot on there. We are selling that in 3 weeks and buying a tan sofa and chair. Does anyone out there know what kind to buy having cats w/ nails? I'm not sure if anyone has found that "perfect" sofa that doesnt realy rip when they scratch at it. I'm not going 2 declaw my cats either, so if you have any advice on what kind of material to buy please help. I know leather is out of the question- they tour all our leather stuff up allready. I live in Huntington, WV. I used to have a Russian Blue cat named Church. I loved her so much, but she died. Does anyone out there breed them. I have looked everywhere and I can't find them.
