I would say that black cats are lucky, not just because of the superstition but for the joy they can bring! I have a pair and I can say that I am very lucky to have them!! They are called Sister and Mouseworker, they always help with the cleaning by hitching a ride on a mop or broom! Unfortunately they are not yet trained to work the vacuum, then I would be super lucky!

It depends where you come from. In the old days, black cats were associated with witches so people who were against them were afraid of black cats and wouldn't cross their path (some were even afraid of all cats) and would kill them. Celtics believed that black cats were good luck and to cross the path of one would bring good fortune.
I'm one of the latter, I think black cats are good luck and i've owned quite a few... maybe I was a witch in a past life? *evil laugh* lol

They're neither, that's just superstition..
There are many superstitions associated with cats, partly because the cat has lived alongside humans for many millennia.They were both good and bad luck throughout the centuries.

depends on which country you live in,black cats are lucky here but in some places white cats are deemed lucky its all down to regional superstition
