Cats - March 2007

My Kitten Loves toilet paper, when we got him he was playfull but then one day i when to the restroom and the toilet paper was in shreds, ever since then we have to hide the toilet and kitchen paper because he destroys it and then eats it, but every once in a while i give him one to play but my mom says its bad for him, so while i agree it aint good, is it bad or just whatever?

I have to go out of town for 3 days, if i leave plenty of food and water, will my cat freak out being alone?

both were male, one two years old, the other five. The first had renal failure and bleeding both ends and had to be put down. The second had terrible internal distress and had to be put down also as there is no real cure. My female cat about the same age was not affected. Only Special Kitty (Wal Mart) was fed to them. Time-frame was two years ago up to Nov '06 when the second male finally had to be put down also. I have since switched brands. The surviving female has no problems to date, and the male replacement is fine. Considering recent problems, I am wondering about Special Kitty and has anyone had similar experience.

The ex swiped the male last week and Pasha is bummed. She won't eat and walks around calling out for her best friend. Its killing me too but i work from my home and she is constantly needing me to play play play. How long will she be this way and would she be better off if I give her to the ex so Pasha can be with Brando?

Help me! I feel like a horrible cat owner! I've adopted a very dark torishell cat from the local shelter. She's been living with us since November. We still call her by her shelter name "Queen Mama". I want to rename her, but am so stuck.

Here are her characteristics:
-she was found by the shelter with her 3 kittens;
-she meows alot at night while she carries objects in her mouth (I'm assuming she misses her kittens);
-her right front paw is crooked (it hooks outward);
- she's skinny.

A friend of mine has a fixed male siamese that is fascinated with peeing on the stove and countertops. It is not spraying just urinating. she has tried almost everything. there is nothing wrong with the cat. she just took him to the vet. got a clean bill of health. does anyone have any ideas. he is only two years old so it should not be an age thing. she has been trying to train him to use outside or kittybox forever. he will poop in box and pee in there during day but at night the stove and counter are his. she is getting tired of cleaning it every day. advice would be helpful

My female Himalayan purebred Mia, has just gone into heat and we are looking for another Himalayan purebred male to mate with her. She has all her shots and is healthy as can be.
We plan to etheir sell the kittens or keep. The breeder must be within 2 counties of douglas county washington. Thank you and we will have the kittens spayed and neutered to help our local shelters.

For the past several months, my 9-month-old kitten has this habit of wiping her front paws on the carpet. At first it started when she would finish using the litter box, and I figured that she was cleaning her feet from litter dust. Recently however, she started doing it before she's about to eat. What's even weirder is that she wipes her feet right next to her food dish. I've never read anything like this in the cat books. What does it mean? Thanks!

I my cat has 3 kittens. They are 3 weeks old now and one of the kittens is a little STINKER! She wont stay in her basket and keeps climbing out. (litterally CLIMBING) then the Mama kitty grabs ahold of her and bites her. I dont mean her neck like she is going to pick the baby up. I mean like she is attacking the kitten. She doesnt seem to hurt the kitten though and the kitten bites her back too. I ASSUME it is like a parent spanking their child? Is that what she is doing?
