Is your cat considered to be 'breeding quality' or a 'housepet quality' cat? Do you have papers for the cat and _permission_ from the breeder?

Is the cat registered with the CFA or TICA?

Now for the next questions: Do you know what characteristics you are breeding for? What are the genes carried by your cat (coat color, coat type, sociability, etc.) and what genes are you looking for in the stud?

Cat breeding is both a science and an art.

You need to go through cat clubs for Persians to find breeders who own studs. You will need to take the cat to the vet for a blood test first and then take the cat to the stud owner with your cat's papers showing that she is registered on the breeding register and is blood tested and vaccinated. You willhave to pay a stud fee, and if the cat doesn't get pregnant you should normally be allowed at least one more free mating. I have bred cats for over ten years and I have to tell you that I have never made money from it or met any other cat breeder who makes money. In actual fact it is an expensive hobby, but a very enjoyable and rewading one, nonetheless. You have to pay for vet bills, blood tests, vaccinations, mileage to stud, stud fees, food bills, litter bills, toys etc, kitten health chekcs, registrations, vaccinations, and all sorts of other things. And this is only if things go right!
