Single cats seem to have the same as those who are married! That is on average.Of course us male cats do often lose hair as we grow older . I'm not sure if that has any relationship with marital status or not.

depends on season what type of coat it has but i don't think anyone has ever counted. but a sphinx has the least more or less naked then the rexes no guard hairs then breeds and most moggies and then the cats that have very dense fur that live in the cold climates they have a triple layer coat. hope this helps
