If you have never done it before, than it is hard to know if the cat will freak out. I have done it, and because they are in familiar surroundings, in the comfort of their own home, they seem to do just fine. I leave plenty of water, dry food and two cat boxes for three days. They give a bit of a cold shoulder upon your return, or meow loudly letting you know they are not to happy about the trip you just took, but they are fine within a couple of hours.

My wife and I have 4 cats and have left them for as many as 4 or five days at a time. I suggest you leave enough food and an extra litter box. See if you can someone to come and check on the cat at least once. One cat and only 3 days: no problem!
The cat will be fine as long as has enough food, water and an extra litter box.

Cats are normally very self sufficient. I have left my cats alone for 2-3 days and they have done very well. Once I got home they were a bit more affectionate, but overall they did fine. I would just make sure that they have plenty of food and water. Also, I always try to make sure that they have a clean litter box too.

Your cat will absolutely be fine alone for a few days. If it would make you feel better, leave a radio on real low so that the kitty can listen to voices & songs in your absence. This may make things a little easier on her.

As long as she has a lot of food left out for her and a lot of water, she'll be fine. If you're concerned that her water dish may not be big enough, or may run out of water, fill a baking dish with water and leave it near her food. That's what I do when I have to leave for any length of time. I'll pull out the large shallow pans (like for casseroles, the 9x13'' size dishes) and fill those with extra food & water.

Also, be sure to leave her with a freshly cleaned kitty litter box. You may want to get her stuff to play with too. Like, if she loves paper bags, leave one out for her. (Just make sure that if it has handles she could get stuck in, that you cut those off first!)

So, don't worry. Your cat will be fine! She's a lot more independant than you think!

No, your cat will be fine. I have to leave mine sometimes for a week at a time and they are always okay. They are just really happy when I come home. Just be sure to leave them plenty of food and water. If it's summer, I also leave the air conditioner running on low so they won't get too hot.

Since cats tend to be solitary creatures, most would do fine on their own for a few days, but it all depends on the cat. We have left cats for 2-3 days with no problems, but our neighbors have a cat who tears things up when he is left alone for very long.

Be sure to leave extra bowls of water in case one gets tipped over. Also, fill an extra litter box. Some cats won't use a box that hasn't been cleaned for a few days. In addition, be prepared to be ignored for a day or two after you get back--your cat may decide to punish you for ignoring him or her.

If your cat is used to being alone when you go to work, then it should be fine. For your own peace of mind, have someone check on him or her everyday. Also, if there is a fire or something, will you be able to live with yourself? Perhaps have someone stay at your place or take the cat to theirs. BTW, my parents leave their cat and dog alone for two weeks every summer. They just have someone check in twice a day.

I would say it depends on the cat. Is it a moslty independant cat or does it need a lot of affection? If it is very affectionate I would suggest having a neighbor or someone you completely trust check up on it once each day and just say hi. It'll make the cat happier and leave you feeling a lot more calm.
~good luck~

What I truly have executed is I depart 2 pans that are approximately 4 inches tall and that are huge on the suited and that i'd placed nutrition in one and water in the different plus a cat feeder with nutrition in it. that ought to final the cat for roughly 3 to 4 days. once I have been given domicile the cat nutrition would not be all eaten yet I knew I left her sufficient to consume and he or she would be ok. And for the cat muddle i'd have 2 cat muddle packing containers to be on the secure facet and that became ok additionally.

I've done it several times. I also make sure I leave her plenty of toys scattered about as well as at least one of the blinds open so she can watch the outside world go by. Also, I leave either the radio or tv on for her so she has some sound going on.
