Your cat is probably just scared, take the time to comfort your kitty, and bring along a few treats. Let him or her know it's not a bad place.

You need to take the cat to the vet, it's unavoidable, I recommend desensitising. Take your cat to the vet when it doesn't need to go (you're just going there, not going to see the vet, you don't have to make an appointment, you don't have to pay) take the cat inside, maybe give it a treat then back out again, do this regularly so that that it doesn't always associate bad things with the vet. If you need to take one of the other pets, take them all just for the trip not to see the vet (unless an emergency of course, you won't be thinking about that)

This works with dogs too and vets are usually happy to accomodate you.

There is nothing you can do to make your cat not cry when putting her/him in its cage or when going to the vet.
They are out of their comfort zone and not adaptable as dogs, so any trip outside of your home is distressing.
Don't get discouraged though, the more you take him or her it may get better with the trips.
Most cats know that the only time you are taking them in the car they are going to the vet or groomers and they don't like it, hence its crying. The calmer you are, the calmer your cat will be.

Do you know how common that is? MANY pets cry at the vet. It is a place where they have only known bad experiences, after all. How should they feel, if not upset? It’s like how some kids cry at the doctor or dentist. All you can do is let them cry. They will be fine afterwards. Getting the proper treatment is more than worth a little distress.

As far as I know, this is very common. I think it's because they are scared and not familiar with whats going on. Because cats don't normally get "car trained" , the large, noisy, metal thing we drive them in probably scares the poop outta them. You could try wrapping the cat in a towel and talking calmly to it or try a carrier for the kitty (with toys, maybe treats). I wouldn't worry about the crying.... I don't think the cat will be permanently scarred by it.

Mine does the same thing. Cats don't like change much and when you take them out of their comfort zone they complain, hence the crying. Just try to comfort her, stay calm for her.
Mine gives me the old stink eye for days after a trip to the vet but seems to forget after a few days.

Well your cat probably gets a little rigid in the car ride to the vet clinic. You need to put yourself in the cat's position, your used to staying at home and sleeping all day, but suddenly your in a cage being moved somewhere your aren't sure of....And remember your cat will calm down for a treat, works for my cats Pepper and Taz.

Most cats get stressed going to the vet. To help alleviate that problem you need to purchase some Feliway to spray in the carrier to help keep the cat calm.
It works great cause I work with feral and stray cats and use it all the time.

My cat does the samething on the car ride to the vet. What I do is buckle up his kitty carrier in the passanger seat so he is upfront with me. When safe I try to keep a finger in his cage so I can pet him and talk to him the entire time. It really calms him down to know that you are there with him. Good Luck!
