I have three cats! One is a big 13 year old orange tabby! The other one is a big 12 year old grey tabby! 5 months ago, I adopted a petite calico girl which she is now 1 year old! The orange one adopted her right away. They get along just fine! The grey one doesn't like her at all. I've had to keep them seperated all this time! Everytime I bring the little one close to him so he can smell her, he bites her and wants to fight her! Will I have to keep them separated all the time because I'm really afraid that he will hurt her very bad!! What do you think I should do? Keep them separated??

My bengal cat is laying stomach-down with her butt up in the air. She has been meowing in MANY different tones for the past week, and everytime I pick her up it seems she is stuck in the position that she was on the floor. Then the next minute, she is acting like a regular cat. Also, everytime I get near her or my dog gets near her,she starts lifting her butt again. Also when you touch the back of her legs she gets her butt up HIGHER in the air. We think it is mating and she is not fixed. She is acting like a regular cat now can I have any tips on how long this will last and if she is going to end up stuck in this position forever? Also any tips on helping her. It seems like her butt has a mind of it's own!

there was this guy asking people for advice about letting his cats outside and for the most part, people were telling him not to do it. (i assume they're american becuase they were using american syntax) why is this? isn't it cruel to keep an animal locked up? I live in Ireland and no one keeps their cats inside. my own cat was kept indoors for a whole year because of illness and the whole time, she was desperete to go out. she's fine now and comes and goes as she pleases, but she's never been hurt outside or ran away in all the years we've had her. I'm not saying anyone who keeps their cats indoors is wrong, but i really don't understand it.

I currently feed my cats IAMS blue label (multiple cat).....I was just wondering if this is a healthy choice for my cats. I spend about $12 per 8lb bag. I've been told that Science Diet is the best, but it is a little expensive for my blood. My cats seem to eat less, but they still poop like they did before on regular cat food (purina).

Thanks for the advice.

Hi, i have just realised about 1 week ago how huge my female cats belly has gotton, i was overjoyed :) as my male cat has just been fixed up due to spraying, and moving house soon and i dont want him to wonder..

this is the cats 3rd (and will be the last) lot of kittens..

her belly is enormous..her sides stick out like a balloon..and underneath as well..she looks like she swalowed a balloon... im just wondering how long do u think will it be til she gives birth?

do you think itll be less than a week? 2 weeks , 3 weeks?

and how long is the absolute longest it could be before she has them?

and is it safe to give her front line flea drops while she is pregnant?

My neighourhood was swarmed with stray cats lately. Some are them are obviously sick and has open wounds (from fights probably) and posed a health risk to humans. The local animal control agency was called to resolve the problem. They did a good job in catching many of the cats and putting them to sleep in a humane way. However when cat lovers found out, they made a hue and cry in the media, calling for such actions to be stopped. So what do you think, humans or animals (cats in this case) are more important? How can we co-exist ?

He doesn't get sick in the day , just seems to do it for me as a morning gift. He is happy in himself, does not seem any different apart from being sick at night when I'm in bed. I have taken him off of his Felix Trays and just giving him plain chicken strips and Active Fit biscuits. What can be causing it? Does he need some cat grass?

Help! It's actually upsetting me as I worry about him and love him so much. He is crying for his Felix, but if he has it, he will be sick. He is almost 7 yrs old.

I have three cats and one recently passed away. One of the cats behaves as though nothing has changed. The other has started to become "friskier." This made me wonder if the two cats are even aware that there is no third cat anymore. Are pets (specifically cats) able to tell when another is no longer there?

I moved into a new apartment about two months ago. My cat (about 10 years old, and he's always been aventursome) overnight seems to have decided he's terrified of everywhere except the bedroom. I haven't heard or seen anything unusual, and there aren't any other renters with pets around us, so I don't think he could have been spooked by that. He's eating, drinking, and using the litterbox fine, and likes to play as long as he can stay in the bedroom. Any thoughts on why, or even better, how I can help him get over this fear?

For the last couple of days he has been standing still, anywhere, as if he has to us the litter box but nothing happens. You can see he is trying to push though. Anyone know what could be wrong

A friend asked me to find out, I personally think it's not true and only a human relating concept! Anyone out there know for sure? scientific proof? Cos if that is true then cats have kittens aged 6 and upwards. Would be glad for any replies. Thanks

A neighbor of mine adopted a 1 year old female from an acquaintance about 3 weeks ago and was planning to get her spayed next week. The cat WAS allowed outside with the previous owners and is now an indoor only cat. When she rubs the cats belly, the cats nipples are pretruding and it was very noticable. Is this normal for an unspayed female or can this cat be pregnant?

I was moving our couch and our cat snuck under it. I went to put it down and I didn't see him. He let out a loud meow and then I immediately lifted it back up. He ran upstairs, hid under the bed for about an hour and now's he's back to his normal routine -- eating, frolicing with our other cat, letting me hold him and pet him, running after his toys, etc. He does not appear to be hurt at all. I was concerned about his neck but he's moving his neck and head just fine. Should I take him to the vet just in case???? I felt so damn bad when this happened!!

Our female cat 'Shadow' is only just over 1 yr old, she has 3 x kittens who are 9 weeks old and she is driving us crazy!! She is meowing and calling and generally a pest at the moment during the day and night. She keeps rolling about wanting fuss (unusual for her), crawling low and sitting at the back door. We are worried to let her wander far incase she gets 'had' again by another male cat, until we have had her fixed. How long does this last?
Is she in season again already, we are keeping one of the kittens (female) and the other 2 are going at the end of the month.
Looking forward to anybodys answers. Thanks very much.

I know it is a stupid question, but I was having a Super Bowl party and my cat just eats all the shrimp. I was trying to get the tail part away from him, but he just turned away and growled.
