My cat is pregnant and when we went to go get her checked at the vet he said the kittens would be due any day within one to two weeks. The first week has already almost gone by and I think she is going to have her kittens in a few days. She has been acting very strange latley, she is breathing heavily, she lays down and gets back up a lot,you can see the kittens really kicking in her stomach. Does this mean the kittens will arrive soon?

I know Jinx on Meet the Parents could use the toilet, but is that for real? Or could you even train a cat to go outside, much like you would with a dog?

My male 2 year old cat is very sweet. Loves attention and to be around humans. The only thing is when ever i pet him he lays down and then i try to pet him more. When i pet him while he is laying down he tries to bite me or claw me. I dont rub him bellie just his head and back if that helps any.

She's had no interaction & playtime with kittens her size to learn . Carrie (cat) ATTACKS HERSELF !! Her back feet get so tender she limps, but for no reason, if she's corrected, noises outside, if you stop petting her before she's ready, wham!! & she cries so loud as she's doing this, neighbors first thought I was torturing her. Her Vet wants to put her on Valium. That just seems to mask her problem. Any pet behavorial specialist have a comment?

I have a 10month old kitten. I recently switched him to a different type of food (adult food this time) with the advice of his vet. He needed food that would help keep his teeth clean since he refuses to get them brushed.

I slowly added it to his old kitten food over a week. He seemed to love it. In fact, he eventually ONLY ate the new food and left the old food in the bowl until he got really hungry. I decided to start feeding him the new stuff on it's own. He was eating it just fine for the first couple of days, but now he doesn't seem interested in it.

Today I found a very little bit of vomit on the carpet (the amount of a tablespoon). Could he be getting ill from the new food? Should I switch back to the old?

This kitten NEVER eats ANY dry food, no matter what kind, even kitten chow or the best other kibbles or bits....

If you test him for three days, he won't eat anything, but starts begging....

If you mix the kibble with warm water and soak it a bit,,,Voila! He eats....

Thought it might be a teeth problem, but now sure it's not.

Anyone seen this before?? Comments? Suggestions?

Yes, he eats canned food or table treats (chicken pieces &c).

All my cats have plenty fresh water, refreshed twice daily, at least.

Dishes are washed after use same as for humans.

I think my cat is over weight. He is two years old and already at 15 pounds. I need to know if he is over weight, and if he is, what his weight should be at two years old. Also if he is over weight how do i help him loose weight. Gaby

So I have a big healthy 2 year old male cat, but just recently when I clean my apartment I keep finding whiskers on the floor. They don't look like they've been cut off (I'm pretty sure my roommate wouldn't do that) because the "root" (I'm just guessing) is dark, like it was plucked out or something. I know that it is winter and that shedding of the coat is normal, but do cats shed their whiskers too? Should I be concerned?

When we adopted our tabby, he was rail thin. Now he's quite a bit heavier. We have the suspicion that the neighbors may be feeding him, although we don't set a limit to what we feed him. He is very active. However that has some downsides too, he loves to kill and eat, particularly rodents and birds. Maybe he isn't overweight, just healthy, but he seems to have lost his once great figure. Are we too critical?

Ok so my cat is in heat. We don't have the money to get her fixed. So at night she screams, and we have to be up at 5 to go to work. We have tried everything. Closing the bedroom door only makes her scream louder and scratch it all night. We tried giving her warm milk, it worked a little bit, she slept for a few hours, but then woke up screaming again.

Any Ideas?

Every time I come in from outside I leave my coat on the floor. My cat always lays on it and sleeps. Does this mean she likes me? (Most of the time my cat is not friendly)

Ok my wife and I have been living here for about 2 months now, and weve noticed around half a dozen cats around, we had some kitty food left over from we were cat sitting about a year ago, and we were feeding them and petting them and what not. The wierd thing is that some of the cats would let us touch them and some wouldn't, one perticular cat that would come around and meow until you petted it, and it was cute cause if you held you hand up it would jump to rub the side of its head against it lol and it would sometimes let you pick it up but it was obvious that it was uneasy about it. well this morning at about 1030am it woke me up meowing at the window and I went out to follow it around and pet it. then it bit me!! I didnt think anything about it, but I kept playing with it then I picked it up and was petting it and it really got me good. then it came in the house and I was getting it some left overs to eat and was sitting on the foor with it in my lap and it just started

She is 15 years old, himalayan, fixed. She never did that before
and now every night she is screaming, like baby crying. I cannot
afford to take her to the vet and have them run a bill for 100's of $$.
Otherwise she is OK, eats well and sleeps all day as usual.
Does anybody have any idea? Please help!

I continueslly hoover and bleach the floors downstairs. my new bed came today and i bought all new duvets and pillows today, i dont want the fleas back, can fleas live in the cracks of the floor boards upstairs? we havent been bitten for a few days, have i cracked it or will they return?

My cat whos a female, 8 years old, and siamese has a bruise in the middle of her left side body. The bruise is bleeding with puss. We still dont know how this happened, the likely clue is that a wild cat from outside injured her. If someone could reccomend what to do it would be highly appreciable.

...i went to in order to smell that sweet aroma were wrong, and until recently the urge to burn cats had left me.but now i have a new girlfriend who has two cats,i was overcome with the urge to burn them but instead i came up with a great idea, the first time she left me alone with the cats i shaved them bald and kept the fur in a bag, i then put the cats out and when she seen they had been shaved she obviously assumed that some sicko had done it,however i`m now spending more time catching, shaving and burning the fur of cats in deserted country lanes than i am with my girlfriend.should i confess??
