What I do is turn the water on luke warm kinda low, and then put your cat in and hold him with one hand while you get him wet with the other. I like to use a cup, or just hold him under the spicket. Use wash that is made for pets. Otherwise the soap may make him sick after wards when he is licking himself. Lather his whole body except his head. Then just make sure to get all of the soap out. Once you are done, towel dry him or even give him a few minutes with your hair dryer on low. You don't want him to be walking around with wet fur and catching a cold. I hope this helps you out. Good luck with the kitty!

I found a dog thing in the pet store. It has two straps attached to suction cups that attach to the tub. It attaches to a harness you buy for the cat. It will be easy to wash when you do not have to worry about it jumping around and scratching you.
Try not to put the cat to close to the running water. Use a large bowl or something to wet the cat. this will all make it easy.

There are bath wipes out there. Wal-Mart sells them. They say that they are for dogs, but on the back it also states that it is safe for cats. I use these wipes for my 5 month old kitty. These wipes work wonders because you don't have to fight with your cat in the tub. All you do is hold your cat and wipe it down. It leaves them clean and smelling great.

Many cats are not that difficult to bathe...
Most of them get used to it...
Cats can be made hypoallergenic by frequent bathing...
The allergins of cats is in their saliva....Not their fur or dander..
They lick themselves and the saliva with the allergins gets on
their fur..
Bathe them twice a week for a couple of months and then weekly
for a couple months and by then they will have stopped producing
the allergin in their saliva and no one will be allergic to them...

I uses to bath my cat. I asked my vet, said its not necessary to bath them they do a good job by themselves. She said I'd only be asking for trouble, cats hate it. there's no reason to do it unless the cat has fleas then use a flea shampoo, otherwise just leave her be, they clean themselves.
