My cat is pregnant and when we went to go get her checked at the vet he said the kittens would be due any day within one to two weeks. The first week has already almost gone by and I think she is going to have her kittens in a few days. She has been acting very strange latley, she is breathing heavily, she lays down and gets back up a lot,you can see the kittens really kicking in her stomach. Does this mean the kittens will arrive soon?

Oh, and she also hasn't been eating as much. She still eats, nut not nearly as much as she used to. We put a box for her in our laundry room. We got all the laundry done so there wouldn't be any noise. Would it be alright for her to have kittens in that room or not?

Make sure she has a somewhat secluded area in the house, I am assuming that's where she is. She will need a box or towel place in a closet or under a bed where she feels comfortable. If she hasn't already started nested which is what its called when she is preparing the area she has chooses. Check to see if she has milk if it doesn't gross you out, if she does then it "usually" means that she will have them in 24 hours. Watch for any discharge as that is also an indication of labor. Not eating is another sign but just like humans some will eat no matter what is going on! Cats usually never need help with their babies, my guess is that they are so flexible! So don't worry about help her with them, just keep things quite so that stress doesn't cause her to not go into labor or Vice Versa! Good luck.

You will be having kittens any time now- the heavy breathing is labor. She is probably looking for the perfect spot, where she feels safe. Make her a nest box with old clothes and put it in a quiet room and lock her in it alone, try not to bother her at all.

Our dog acted weird before giving birth this morning. You should just make a comfortable place for her to lay and give birth. She shouldnt need any help but if she does call a vet. Signs for delivery soon are: heavy breathing, walking weird and funny, always hungry and pacing the floor. In your case it sound like she could give birth very soon. Meaning today or in the next two days.

Yes, they will be arriving very soon. Your cat will be looking for a place to have them, usually a dark, private area like a closet. My cat had her kittens in our spare room under an end table where it was dark. She will be very restless and verbal until the time comes.

She probably lays down with her stomach puddling along both sides. That's how she rests her kitten-filled tummy. One of my cats rested on the kitchen counter like that. She'll probably have them in a spot you least expect.

i think your cat is going' to be a happy mom in a week or so. Please give her water 'cos she would be thirsty. when she stars making' noises which u have never heard her make, put her in that box & leave her in peace..'cos she 'd be deliverin' soon after. close the room's door if possible. good luck.

vet might have told you apporx date. but still if you can regulate her temperature it will tell you the day of delivery . when the temp goes below normal temp that is 100.5 f. when it comes near 98.f
that is the time when she will deliver.
