If neutered as a 8 week old kitten, no. If your cat is a year or more you can expect weight gain, laying around more & staying closer to home. His weight gain can be controlled by who ever feeds him.

Habits that develop as the cat grows will not change. Even spraying may continue after neutering. Have them neutered early, before 8 months. The only behaviors that you can change are the ones that haven't developed. At maturity, hormones will come into play and your pet will develop behaviors relevant to the development. Neuter before this happens and you can avoid a lot of problems.

Having a cat neutered does not change their personality no matter what their age however, it is best to have them neutered while they are young. Young cats will heal faster and they will take the anaesthesia better. It decreses the chances of complications while they are young.

I think it does. Neuter you cat as early as possible. It might be sad or hurtful the later it gets neutered.
