For the last couple of days he has been standing still, anywhere, as if he has to us the litter box but nothing happens. You can see he is trying to push though. Anyone know what could be wrong

I believe your cat may have urine crystals. They arrive from certain types of feed. I have attached a link to a website. Since I am not there to see all of your cat's reactions and symptoms.

Sounds like you should see a vet. Has he used the litter box at all? If not, he could have some kind of intestinal blockage.

it sounds like a urinary tract blockage and infection. My siamese cat gets them all the time. The vet told me it is because he is neutered and the urethra shrinks with the loss of that area. You should take him to a vet IMMEDIATELY! cats can die if they cant go to the bathroom for such a long time. the vet can safely remove the blockage and prescribe an antibiotic for him to take to clear up the infection.

Your cat is going to die if you don't get him unblocked right away. You say "a couple of days". That's enough to cause renal failure and death.

This is a medical emergency and you must take him immediately to get his urinary tract unblocked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
