If she's having kittens, she's too busy to eat. Plus she'll be eating the placentas which seems gross, but is normal and natural for cats to do. It gives her tons of nutrition she needs to nurse the kittens and get over the strain pregnancy and birth put on her body. She will eat when she's ready. And please, in 6 weeks when she's weaned the kittens, get her spayed. And get the kittens spayed or neutered at six months. Please. And don't give cats milk. Most of them are lactose intolerant and it causes diarrhea.

That is normal unless it has been days. Please get her spayed asap.Do you realize that for every 1 person born, there are 7 puppies and kittens
born? At best, 1 will find a forever home.
And don't forget, that every "Free-to-good-home" litter takes homes away
from animals already at the shelter.

STOP letting your pets; or your friends, relatives or co-workers pets
contribute to the problem.
If you love animals, it is NOT ENOUGH to merely say "My pets are fixed".
Vow to educate and enable others to fix their pets too.
Spaying just 1 female dog or cat, will prevent 6 others from ending up in a
shelter the following year.
Please be part of the solution, NOT the problem!
Thank you. ^..^

a female cat wont eat prior or several hours after the birth, they are too nervous and too busy taking care of their newborn kittens to even think about it. They dont want to leave them alone where any number of unknown dangers(to them anyways) can assault their babies.

Ask anyone who has had a baby, there are times when food is revolting. Try feeding her some chicken broth, spoon feed her if necessary. Being in labor is tough work and she need her strength. Don't worry that she will be fine, do your best to make her comfortable.

Good Luck!

Don't worry. Maybe it's the effect of pregnancy but it will not be permanent. For sure she will be hungry the next day and she will be forced to eat.
