If you're relaxing, laying in the sun, and someone sprinkles cold water on you, do you like it?

I guess it's because cats can't swim. and their natural instinct is to get far away from water. so it made cats really don't like water at all, perhaps except to drink. so when the instinct is to avoid water, a sprinkle of water will make them surprised.

...they have no great impulse to take a dip. Also, no cats enjoy water used against them in an antagonistic manner or getting water in their eyes or ears. Being sprayed or squirted with water isn't fun, nor is being forced into a bath. Cats much prefer to meet new situations on their own terms.

They love to be clean, and adding water to there freshly cat tongued fur pisses them off. They love to be warm and a little bit of water can make their little bodies feel cold.
