It's common to get a cat groomed. Sometimes people get them shaved all over but with a cute lion head and a furry ball at the end of the tail. They get hairballs and shed too much sometimes, so they don't mind. It's more important to give them attention and throw a toy for them to chase than to worry about their shaved booty. Also longhairs have problems with poopoo sticking to their fur so they'll like the shave.

what the hell do you want to shave your cat for? that's animal cruelty. if it needs to be groomed, then get in the yellow pages and find a professional to do it.
