My cat always wakes up at about 6:00am and starts running around and meowing like crazy. I've tried getting up and feeding him or holding him for a while, but then if I go back to bed he just keeps on making noise. If I ignore him completely, he still continues to make noise. I can't let him outside because it's way too cold where we live. What can I do??I need to sleep!!

late this summer I fostered a 4 weeks old black female kitten, named her jacky but in august she was limping really badly and would not let me touch her back legs/tail/ or lower back. I've been taking her to the vet since, gotten x-rays, had her on countless steriods and anti-biotics but nothing is working. she was a stray that my friend found and she was fine until a few months ago though she never was able to jump and though she's almost a year she's only 4 pounds, whats wrong?

Is there some sort of dominant chromosome that makes black cats female? I know about four or five people that have had black cats (including me) and they were always female.

I just tried checking out some information on the FIP virus on the net, but I got way too many different answers. I adopted my cat Prince a couple weeks ago, from our local SPCA. I just found out that one of the cats that was housed with Prince died from it.. I am so scared for my little boy! Is it very contagious or contagious at all? This cat was adopted out in November, and he was diagnosed last week with FIP and died shortly after. I'm scared my little boy is going to get this. Since Prince and "Thomas" (cats name) were housed together for several months. Does anyone have some information on it?

Alright, I have a 1 and a half year old cat, he's a bit over weight, not too much though. Hes started sneezing a lot, well its not that much maybe like 3 sneezes a day, but it still worries me. I'd take him to the vet, but I am really broke, money is really tight right now, and I just want to know if theres anything I can do before having to take him to the vet. We used to smoke in our house, and when he started this sneezing we started to go outside for his sake, just in case that could be the problem.

I have two adult cats. This isn't a new issue but it just makes me wonder. We have one cat box that they share and it's one with a cover over it. My male cat refuses to use the box with it's cover on and will do his business on the floor in front of it. Anyone have some insight to this issue?? We do keep it clean but it just baffles me.

I need mucho help please!!!

My cat peed on the carpet ALOT!!!!

The cat litter is mixed in with it and I'm trying to use a shampooer to get it out but its turning to paste! I'm using Pinesole (I've heard it helps) and that didn't work so I'm using stain-picker-uper hoping that will do something.

Any suggestions on how to get this out???

My cat is at the vets office right now. Her claws are so curved they are growing in to her paw pads and they are infected. Its like an ingrown nail on a human but like 100 times worse. The vet said the best thing to do is declaw her or i could get her sedated and have him clip her nails every two weeks. Which is worse then declawing her because having her sedated can cause problems.

I knew some one who had one of her toenails removed because she kept getting ingrown nails, and my grandma had her fingertips cut off when she was young in the 1930's she was 19 years old. and she handled it fine.

I am on a fixed income and I cannot afford to take her in to the vet it will cost about $1539 a year to take her in to be clipped and under $200 to have her declawed and the vet said declawing her is my best bet.

Before I took her to the vet I took her to a couple groomers and they said they won't touch her.

What should I do? I cant let her suffer. I dont want any thing bad to happen.

we have now been re-united with her as she was chipped thankfully. Unfortunately she seems to be extremely violent towards our other 2 cats that are actually her daughters. We realise that she has probably had to fend for herself and been through some scrapes, but now that she is home, how do we set about keeping her calm and re-integrateing her with her daughters.

Hi guys!
I am so sad. Today we neutered our cat. We had to drop him in vet's place and we picked him up like 4 hours later, to make sure anasthesia wears off and he is doing ok.
When we came there and woman brought him to us-he was shaking, meowing loud, freaking out.
We brought him home-he could hardly walks, his back legs were so weak and clumsy.
He got better now a little bit, but he still acts a little bit weird, scared of everyhing and even hissed at me couple of times for no reason even though he recognizes me and is not scared of me.
I feel so sad for him , its been a huge stress today for poor guy.
I just wanted to know is it normal behavior after neutering and it it will go away.
I hope he will not be scared of everything now and will trust us again:(

Once in a while I notice my cats profile, and it looks like she has Lashes... Are they? Or is that just the way the fur looks around the eye?

hello, when i play fetch with my dog (max) he will go get the object but wont give it back to throw it again. All he wants me to do is try to catch him while he runs around with it in his mouth . So to my question, is this just silly play for him or is he trying to be the dominant one???

They are constantly doing something bad. We have to keep them out of our bedroom at night because they claw our capet, and the blanekts on our bed. When we put them out, they claw at the door until we open it. We try to disapline them, but nothing works.....they love water, so that's out of the question....can someone help, i'm out of ideas.

My cat scratches along the top edge of the stairs, and tears them to shreds. I am unable to trim her claws - she was a rescue and doesn't like to be handled, and I will not declaw her. I don't like the look of hardwood, and really want to find carpeting material that can withstand her clawing.
