Hi there...absolutely! Cats may expel (vomit) for various reasons such as hairballs, eating too fast, food allergies, intestinal parasites, switching food too suddenly which causes bowel distresses http://www.drsfostersmith.com/pic/article.cfm?articleid=99 , diseases/disorders, etc.

Why cats vomit:

All the ******* time. You never heard a cat hacking? I thought that was like something everybody knew. Now look at your cats puke? Is it a hairball or is he sick like trowing up bile or his dinner? Hairball, start brushing more and get hair ball formula cat food. The other, go to a vet.

Cats who are puke once or twice a week- this is natural. They may have eaten too quickly- like us humans, if we eat too much, we can be really sick! If they have access to a garden, and have eaten grass, this is a natural sedative/medicine which again makes them sick. Also 'furballs' when they clean themselves, they digest some of their own fur, which could irritate their stomach lining. If your cat is very sick , does not drink fluids and hasn't eaten, is very lethargic you need to take her/him to a vet asap as this could be dehydrating and lethal. On a final note, like I said, it is natural for a cat to puke now and then. You should see my British Blue boy- he has a massive appetitite, eats too much, pukes it and goes outside innocently to play!!!

Yes! My cat used to puke all over my bed at 5am! It is always minging to have to clean up vomit at any time, but try cleaning up regurgitated cat food in the middle of the night!

Yes, they can be sick like we are & they can also regurgitate things which they have only just eaten (as well as fur balls). There was a stray cat which cadged food from everyone on our street until he couldn't eat any more. He once brought it all up on our carpet & you could still see more or less exactly what he'd just eaten because he hadn't even started digesting it. Gross but strangely fascinating.

My cat is very greedy. He swallows bits of his dried food whole, then gets the thing stuck in his throat and pukes to move it. So, yes, they can. And it can be quite disgusting!

yes they can. normally they only puke if they eat somethin they are not supposed to or have a hair ball. if the kittie keeps puking then take him to the vet to make sure nothing is wrong

Cats and dogs can make themselves puke at will. Cats usually do it to bring up fur balls, dogs to rid themselves of whatever they ate that didn't agree with them.

Of course they can. Cats actually need to be sick to bring up furballs that collect in their stomach from grooming, so they will eat things to make themselves sick to achieve this.

They usually puke if you give them too much food and they over eat. Or if you aren't buying the good stuff. You don't want to buy her junk food.
