My cat just ate a feather off a toy.

He coughed a little and I turned to see him finishing it off. He's ok now, acting fine and normal..

But is this a problem? He'll be fine, right? It was a portion of a peacock feather.

What could this be? She is having a lt. brown fluid come out and her upper inner eye lid is swollen. It is a little red. I really want to help her because it looks painful.

I caught an neighbour being nasty and shouting at my 7 year old cat one day. I really did,nt think to much about it after the event. However very soon my cat got very ill and was vomiting every day first thing in the morning. (It was,nt a fur ball more like white foam.) he got so bad one day that I had to rush him to the vet. They had to keep him in and did lots of tests on him. There was damage to his kidneys. The vet said it could be that he was so dehidrated or something more serious, we gave him meds for a month and checked his blood again. Not to good. But something amazing happened. I moved house and almost immedently my cat stopped being sick. I cant go into every detail about this person however suffice to say he did,nt like cats. Problem is i have no proof. God bless any new neighbours with pet cats.

I found a tick on my cat that I know could not have been there too long. It must have attached it self in the passed week or so. What ever happened to the concept of tick season??? I know it this whole season in the Northeast has been unseasonably mild but this seems ridiculous! Any thoughts???

I've two cats, a younger one who's no trouble, and an older one who is deaf. Bless her, love her to bits, but she's always bugging me for food or love. Tried everything I can think of, nice food, milk, cream, lots of attention.??

I just adopted a male kitten, only 11 1/2 weeks old and soo cute!
He is of a mixed breed, a long-haired white and grey Persian/Domestic longhair.
He is very wild, active, and energetic (like a normal kitten!), and he plays a lot with our older male cat (9 months old tabby Domestic shorthair, called "Gacy").
"Gacy's" sister (same litter), short-haired, black and white "Pandora"", tries to stay a way from the wild little kitten as much as she can!
I am sure they will soon be fine with each other, it has only been a couple of days and no fights, just a little "hissing” towards each other.
Now to my question:
What should I name this little, hairy half-Persian ball!?
I want an unusual name.
It could be a bizarre, intellectual, intelligent, sophisticated, poetic (or something else), long or short name, let your fantasy flow!
Please, find a nice and unique name for him!
Thank you!

my cat is about 3 and a half, he came in the other morning and since then he hasnt hardly moved we took him to a vet who said that he had a temperature of 103 the vet put him on a drip but asked us to collect him as he wouldnt settle and take him back the following morning which we have done the vet has ran tests on his liver and kidneys and they appear to be fine he has hardly ate anything in the last 72 hours maybe a spoonful of food and a few mouthfuls of water he just seems to want to be by himself which is not like him but it is worrying me as the vet doesnt seem to know what is wrong with him., my partner is so worried that he is going to pass away does any one out there have any idea what could be the problem so that when i take him to the vet again on monday i can ask her to check and rule things out he has also only went to the toilet twice for a wee but no other movements i am really concerned and would like any advice please.

My sister, who is highly intelligent and educated, does not pick up her trash, her clothes or mail. There are times when you literally cannot walk through her living room for the many "things" on the floor. She also purchases certain items over and over again. She many have 12 bottles of salad dressing, 6 big bags of cat food or 30 bras. Many of the items she purchases, she doesn't realize that she has 20 more sitting in her closet. She willing takes our help and doesn't seem embarassed about the sad state of her house. She is functioning in her job and her health is stable. To someone on the outside, she appears fine. But if someone were to enter her house, they would have an entirely different opinion. She has been this way for about the last 10 years and is now 61. If there is a way for her to be helped, she needs it now. The last thing I want is for her to turn into a "crazy cat lady". At least her two cats are both males so we aren't dealing with a house full of cats.

I have a young, 4 month old kitten named Runtinie. He does not have fleas, and is completely up-to-date on vaccinations. I have just started to bathe him regularly, and am looking for a safe shampoo to use. Any suggestions?

Hi... My cat is 3weeks pregnant & I was wondering if it's ok if I feed her more natural stuff "with" her cat/kitten food?

Like boiled chicken ( cubed-Boneless )
Tuna
Boiled beef

&are there any other home food that is good for pregnant cats?

I always believed that nothing is better & more healthy than natural food, I see how dry & canned cat food look like & I get the feeling that's not as healthy for her as to have real chicken, tuna & red meat 3-5 times a week.

What do you think? Am I right ? & If not, why?

My cat had 4 kittens 4 weeks ago. She's been fine about letting my partner and I touch them and hold them. They have a large box in oour living room with a sheltered area and a play area, which is where she gave birth originally, she's been fine with it all this time and its clean and warm. Today for the first time she has been picking the kittens up and trying to hide them in my shoe cabinet in the bedroom. Why is she doing this and other than placing them immediately back in their box what can I do?

I have two cats that for some reason just started urinating on the rug (right next to their litter box), and sometimes they urinate on towels that are on the floor. Their litter box is impeccable, and the rugs have no other animal scents on them. Also, where they are urinating by the litter box, their urine is getting on an antique dresser (wood) and I don't know how to fix it. (It's been moved since the problems started happening).

Could someone please give me some ideas-short of getting rid of my two cats? Please help.
