I have a young, 4 month old kitten named Runtinie. He does not have fleas, and is completely up-to-date on vaccinations. I have just started to bathe him regularly, and am looking for a safe shampoo to use. Any suggestions?

I have always bathed my cats in baby shampoo as well. I do recommend bathing them once a month so they get used to the idea. Yes its true that cats do clean themelves quite well, but there are occasions that a cat needs a bath. My idiot cat decided to sneak out of the house to check out a skunk once and boy was I ever glad she got regular baths cause I probably would have been covered in scratches and bites if she didn't

I think the recommendations are excellent so far. Don't bathe the kitten on a regular basis though. He will learn to take care of his own grooming. I have cats in their "teens" who have never had a bath and they don't smell or look dirty.

With too frequent bathing you can really leach the natural oils from the cat's fur and skin and that can cause problems.

Take them to a Veterinarian. now and again shampoos like that would damage kittens dermis. you'd be a lot more suitable constructive off taking them to a Vet which will provide you with some thing secure and efficient.

Cats are not supposed to br bathed that often. It is very bad for the skin. Cats clean themselves. I've had cats for years and years and never bathed them unless they got into something that was all over the fur.

You should use Johson&Johnson baby shampoo. You should also give your cat a monthly bath so that he gets used to it so he doesnt rip you to pieces like my cat did to my mom.
Plus, if you accidentally get it in their eyes, it won't hurt.
