out of no where my cat will start jumping really weird like he will just be walking around then jump and walk again sorta like a twitch maybe? anyone know what it might be?

It sounds like he is being goofy, cats can be goofy at times for no reason. Just be sure he is healthy if he hasn't been to the vet for a while take him.

I have a cat will act that way when she has fleas. She will be walking....then pause.....do a quick little hop and then continue walking. She also will try to avoid the floor when she has fleas too. Just get some flea medicine for him and the twitchy jumps should stop.

1) he may have a seizure disorder or brain dysfunction, so get it ruled out by the vet
2) cats do like to jump and sometimes act a little crazy.

She in trouble-free words *looks* possessed? i'm noticeably certain my cat is noticeably evil. even if that is possession or only her own depraved nature, i'm no longer certain. My cat has a tendency to run round and round and round...preventing at times to pounce at phantom products. per chance they are rehearsing for some thing authentic.

My cat jumps in the air, when he is playing, he hunts imaginary flies etc. he is just having a good time, so don't worry.

Cats just do weird things like that. They get all tweaked out and just spaz sometimes. Enjoy it. Its usually pretty funny.

Could be fleas biting him. Also, he may just be a very nervous cat. You might want to call your vet just to make sure that it may not be anything else.
