the vet says they're not worried about it at this point, but to watch for signs she may be getting sick. i read up about seromas on a few different websites; some say it's normal and will heal on its own, others say it's a sign of a poorly done suture, and so on...

is there something i can do to help it? has anyone else had their animal have a seroma after surgery?

Young female mother of 4 kittens. We thought she went into heat and got pregnant but that was many many months ago and she never gave birth. She hasn't gone into heat since. Any ideas? Spontaneous infertility?

I have 2 cats and it seems there is always a lot of urine clumps of litter in their litter box. Luckily he isn't peeing anywhere else yet, but I have fear that his extreme drinking is a sign of something since cats don't typically drink a lot. I heard him come in the room over 4 times one morning and drank for at least a good 10 to 15 seconds.

My cat has been having loose, light brown poops lately and i dont know what is wrong. They smell really bad and are different than i remember.

It might be her food. Has this happened to anyone? She is eating Nutro Max Lite hard food...has anyone had this experience with this food?

Anything i can do to harden these things up again??

It is a 3 year old spayed female, and it will meow to be let in, but then when the door opens, she runs off. She also does not let you pick her up and responds by scratching, meowing, and she used the bathroom on me one time. What is causing her timidness, and what could I do?

I had a cat that died a few years back, due to an infection in his GUM's, the Vet gave him vacinations, but it was too late, he was not able to fight the bacteria that had attacked his body. The Doctor had told me that if I had brushed my Cat's Teeth regularly, this situation might not have occured. I LOVED that cat, but I had never heard of brushing your Cat's Teeth, to me that is just plain crazy! I mean what did feline's do before the kitty toothbrush was invented? Seriously, how many people reading this actually take the time to brush their Cats teeth? Funny thing is, the cat I have now BRUSHES HIS OWN TEETH! He waits until I am done and replace my toothbrush in the holder, and starts chewing on the bristols to clean his own teeth! He is so cute, Too bad my other cat did not do that!

My husband is willing to think about getting a cat, even though he has never really warmed to them (I am a feline-lover). I have been lucky to have great cats, but want to give him some web sites, things to read, things to do (maybe visit a shelter) to help him warm up to cats. Do you have any suggestions for how to help him?

In the film ‘Meet the Parents’, Robert De Niro’s character owns a pedigree cat called ‘Jinxy’. I thought it was a Himalayan breed, but when I look up ‘Himalayan cats’ on the internet they don’t look anything like Jinxy??

Does anyone know what breed / colour point Jinxy actually is?

Thanks!

I've read a lot of things on here about tinned cat food being full of rubbish and is not good for cats. I buy my kitten Whiskas pouches, does the same apply to that?

Is this gonna help my cat get close to me?
ok I had this cat like 3 months and believe me nothing worked this cat wont let us get close to him he is gorgeous orange long hair with gold eyes BUT his personality is terrible.... he hissed when you get close to him we have touch him but in like random situations like when he is in the closet and we try to warm him up a little he only comes out in the night when we go to sleep and he hides under our bed all day long .... What my BF and I decided to do is to send it to a shelter but when we called this lady from the shelter she made us feel like s-h-i-t, saying that we have to learn to love it and to get use to his personality because if we take him to the shelter he is going to get killed. . Our 55th plan was to block all his hiding places and when ever he walks out of our room in the night we shot the door and that way he can just get used to us being around him doing what we normally do during the day he has his little bed and all that in the living room ….. I woke up today and I see the cabinet open ( we taped that door ) some how he opened it ………. I am going to wait till he comes out of that cabinet and tide the door with a rope and force him to be around us what you think? I am not going to get close to him but at least he will be around humans

Hi-
My 5 year old cat has changed behaviour dramatically lately and I'd like some advice on what to do to have my old kitty back . A lot has been going on and I really hope he will return to his normal self soon: one month ago we moved into a new house, and since then, from an active outdoor cat, he is an indoors only kitty. Also, two weeks ago, he ate a string that got stuck into his intestines, had emergency surgery and been into the hospital for 4 days and on daily trips to the vet for a week. He used to be a very friendly, playful kitty, he always slept with me on my pillow and now he is hiding under the bed the whole day and gets out only to eat/drink/use the litter box and stare at the window! He acts like he is angry with me, the moment I try to touch him, he runs to his hiding place and he really shows no interest for things he once liked like his fur brush. He comes out, plays sometimes, but returns quickly under the bed. What can I do? Shall I let him out? Thanks a lot
