Cats like people have different voices. My cat Gracie used to whisper when she meowed. I think it's cute that your cat squeaks. Just enjoy your sweet baby boy just as he is.

Depends on the breed, some are just naturally more vocal than others. I have 3 Siamese and all they squeak 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

I have two cats that squeak. One of them is a very large and imposing grey-and-white longhaired male neuter. His voice is at complete odds with his appearance, and everyone who meets him is flabbergasted at his voice. He sounds like a tiny, helpless kitten! Riley the cat weighs in at about 18 pounds, and he's 5 now, certainly no kitten. But oh his wimpy voice!

His sister Calimander the long-haired tortie spay has a similar voice, but since she's smaller it's less at odds with her appearance. It does sound somewhat pathetic, though.

I love all my kitties and how each one speaks is a very individual thing. Squeaking is just fine with me, even if it is at odds with the way the cat looks!

I have two senior cats; one squeaks, the other doesn't. One purrs louder than the other. Just individual differences!

Well, if he's always squeaked then it's nothing to worry about but...I can't say I've ever heard of it.Then again,I'd never heard a cat growl until my cat Tommy did one day. That was interesting.

some breeds of cats do no longer meow loudly, like others do. working example, I surely have a pair of "alley" cats, a registered Himalayan and a few Siamese/Himalayan mixes. between the "alley" cats is so quiet, you could infrequently hear her, whether she's sitting on your lap. The Himmy is amazingly plenty the comparable. in spite of the undeniable fact that, the Siamese mixes and the different "alley" cat (male) are all LOUD! So, it merely would remember on what breed is the dominant one in her family individuals. do no longer trouble, in the event that they choose something badly sufficient, they are going to allow you understand. stable success...
