I have a 3 yr old orange tabby. male, fixed, shots all up to date. about 6 months ago, he started getting little scabs around his neck. i took him to the vet, they said it was fleas. i have 3 cats, no fleas EVER. but i did the treatment, like he said. scabs didn't get better. about 2 months ago, they finally started going away. i thought great. 3 weeks ago, i was petting him and i felt a scab on his back, right by his tail. i touched it, he didn't react like he was in pain. i figured he just scratched himself. it got a bit worse, so i took him to the vet again. the doc said he had fleas after spending about 2 seconds looking at him. my cats don't have fleas. i don't have the money to take him in again. these scabs have gotten worse in the past week. he now has HUGE bald spots to go along with the scabs. any suggestions? i read some of the other posts, so i'm guessing lotrimin or something? do they sell those neck cones for cats?any info would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!

I was recently "adopted" by a large male cat who is extremely sweet. Unfortunately I already have a cat who is, well, not sweet.
She attacks him at every chance - he out weighs her by 15+ lbs and has claws but has yet to go after her. I am at my wits end with all the howling and spitting. I have already bought "Comfort zone Feliway" and it works well on the male cat, he’s even more mellow now but the female seems to be getting more bold and aggressive. Any suggestions?

He is a 12 year old cat. I am even cutting up the little chunksa of moist cat food into almost a paste. He still just licks at the juice. I am afraid that I'll lose him if we can't get him to eat. What should I do?

I purchased a third beautiful little kitten on the weekend. One of my cats gets along with the new kitten but my other one snarls and runs away when she see's the kitten. I fear she could attack it should i force the 2 to get to know each other. Is there an easy way to get my older cat to become friendlier to the new addition. Food and toys wont work.

How old should the kitten be? I have 2 kittens that are both about 5 months old (and getting ready to be fixed next month!) and I was about wondering how old they should be before I start giving them cat food instead of kitten food? They are both healthy, not over waight or under waight.

I have a male kitten and a female kitten: brother and sister (both old enough to be fixed). I was wondering if I should go ahead and get them both fixed at the same time or if it is okay to just fix one and not the other? What are the advantages of getting them both fixed if the problem can be solved by just getting one done?

Its a big room that used to be an entertainment room. He sleeps most of the day. He lives in my room because we have other cats in the house that cause him to pee on couches and stuff. How can he get exercise?

My cat has a good sized hematoma on his ear and the VET evaluated him today and suggested surgery.
The surgery is schedualed for tomorrow.
Vet said to feed him good around 10:00pm and to then remove all dry food & water from his reach...... nothing to eat or drink after
10:00pm the Vet said.
Well.... I totally forgot to feed him at 10pm.... when I remembered it was 10:25pm....so I gave him a whole can of soft food and by 10:35pm he was all done eating and I took away all his dry food & water.
I know the Vet said nothing to eat/drink after 10pm but it was only 10:25pm about a 1/2hr later.....not like it was 2hrs later.... does anyone think that 1/2hr will be an issue and make a huge difference or should I cancel the appointment and make another appointment?
My mom does not think it is a big deal but I am wondering what you guys think. Sorry for the dumb question. Thankx

My 1 year old cat adopted me 3 mos. ago one day when she followed me home. First time I've ever had a pet so I'm a bit of a lose about behaviors. She's an extremely friendly cat and loves being around people. She took to sleeping on my bed but I'm getting very little sleep now as when I turn there she is next to me so I'm afraid of hurting her one day. My sister got my cat her own little bed for X-mas but I don't know how to get her to sleep on it. I've tried rubbing a bit of catnip but that doesn't work. Seems she doesn't like catnip (she won't go near her toys that have catnip). Tried putting her toys on their to make it seem a "safe" place and have even tried putting one of my t-shirts there as well. I've tried placing the bed everywhere I see her napping....Any suggestions? I know she'd be more comfy if she slept in her new comfy bed.....

We recently moved into a new house and last night my cat got out and ran away. We didn't think we would ever see him again since we have had him here only a week, he came back a few minutes ago (was gone around 24 hrs) and ate and is now at the door wanting to go back out. Should I let him? Will he come back again? Will he be fine to start letting out all the time?

She even tries to hide it as if she was inside the litter box; I keep her litter box very clean, she still urinates in the litter box, but only poops on my rug
