I'm asking because my cat threw up for the first time. Her diet consists of specialized cat food and water (changed everyday). I thought the cold weather might have something to do with it. If not, then what else can be a cause?

Actually, if the food in her bowl is very very cold, that could cause her to throw it up. Its best if the food is "room temp" - not hot and not cold.

No Sweetie, the weather won't affect her digestive system.
Some cats seem to have sensitive tummiesand throw up regularly, but if this is the first time your kitty threw up, she isn't one of them! It's very normal for cats to vomit occasionally, or even more often than that. Cats and dogs just seem to be "barfy" creatures.

I don't think cold weather can do that. I would check with the vet since this is the first time. It is common for cats to throw up due to hairballs, but if this is the first time, I would have him/her checked out.
