I had two cats (brothers) for the last two years. About four months ago, the one cat began peeing all over the place (which I caught him - the other religiously uses the box) and ruined stuff in my home (much of which had to be tossed out). I just got rid of him today, and yes I feel very terrible but had no choice. I am due to have a baby in a month and he has left me a stressed out mess due to his constant peeing problem. I had him to the vet, treated for UTI, he was on a special diet, the whole nine yards, but just wouldn't give it up. I cleaned his boxes twice a day, bought fresh litter, and did everything I could except take him to a specialist - so don't say I didn't try to help him please!!! However I am now worried about the other cat. Will he be sad when he realizes his brother is gone and not coming back?? What can I do to help him (which may sound dumb)??? I don't want him to quit eating and die or something like that - serious answers please!
