I just got home from the vet and he said they can go as long as 24 hours before having the rest to not panic until that 24 hour has gone by. Shew!!!!! She is doing fine for now but i'm watching her real close. As if I had a choice, she wants to be on my lap at all times! She had the baby on my lap! Watch her try to have the rest on me as well. LOL She must have guessed that I had 2 kids i'm not that bad at the birth thing! But I hate to admit it but i'm a nervous wreck. If it not your own body it seems to be harder to sit by and feel helpless! Well thanks again!!!!!!!!!!!

I just got a roomie that also has a cat. I kept his original box, but would like it if he also used the other cat's box. The other cat seems to have no problem using both- any suggestions?

My female cat is a little over a year old, she's indoor-only, and eats only cat food. I've recently noticed that she bleeds from her anus when she poops. There's been blood in her poop as well. I'm going to take her to the vet, but until I can get in, I would like to know if anyone knows what is causing this... Thank you!

I just got my kitten today. She will be 3 months old tomorrow. I got her at a local animal rescue shelter. I visited the kittens on Thursday and she seemed to be the friendliest, wanting to be picked up. I saw her today and she was the same way only more hyper. I got her home and about an hour or two later, I noticed that she was sneezing. Not often, but enough for me to raise an eyebrow. I am going to make a vet appointment ASAP but I was wondering what I should do in the meantime to help her with her sneezing and small runny nose? It is clear discharge if this helps and when she sniffs something, thats when she seems to sneeze. Any suggestions until my vet appointment? :)

I had two cats (brothers) for the last two years. About four months ago, the one cat began peeing all over the place (which I caught him - the other religiously uses the box) and ruined stuff in my home (much of which had to be tossed out). I just got rid of him today, and yes I feel very terrible but had no choice. I am due to have a baby in a month and he has left me a stressed out mess due to his constant peeing problem. I had him to the vet, treated for UTI, he was on a special diet, the whole nine yards, but just wouldn't give it up. I cleaned his boxes twice a day, bought fresh litter, and did everything I could except take him to a specialist - so don't say I didn't try to help him please!!! However I am now worried about the other cat. Will he be sad when he realizes his brother is gone and not coming back?? What can I do to help him (which may sound dumb)??? I don't want him to quit eating and die or something like that - serious answers please!

he is a year old indoor neutered cat. most of the time this week he has been running and jumping round my flat like a loonatic.

i thought he wanted to play at first but he just wont calm down.

he has jumped up and broke several cd cases and he knocked over a glass cup and it smashed.

i take him out for walks but it doesnt seem to calm him down that much. i cant let him off the lead as i live on a busy main road.

what can i do to calm him down and get him to chill out?

We found him 2 years ago where someone had deserted him & he is an all in door cat. We do not let him outside. For the past couple of days now I noticed him constantly licking himself all over more than normal. Well today I looked at his backend cause it looked funny. The place he is licking the most is his back & near his tail. There are bald spots now on his backend & tail. Here where I live only has 2 vets & I cannot get ahold of them & they have not returned calls. He is eating & playing & sleeping normally. The only difference in him is the excess licking. I cannot get him now to the vet until Monday. What could be the problem? It has me very concerned ! Thanks

I adopted a three month old kitten today. And I named her Cali and she is a Calico so thats where we got the idea.
We went to the store but I stayed in the car with her. She was fine, but when we got home she refused to crawl out of her box. I lifted her out, (Our dog was outside and Cali had not even saw her yet) and she crawled low to the ground to the door and ginger jumped up on the otherside of the door and scared her. I put her back in her box and put her in the bathroom, she was still in the box as I put litter in her box, and then I put water and food in her bowl. I put her out of her box. And walked in the kicthen (dog is still outside). I walked back in and saw her beside the box, scared. I tryed to comfront her but no improvement. I stepped back in the kicthen to countiune making her bed, but when I walked back in she was GONE! I can't find her anywhere, is she just nervous? Should I let her be? THis is the first time I have ever adopted, so tips for what I should do????

We have just come back from a holiday and we had a relative come in twice a day to feed and water our cat 'Tammy' whilst we were away, unfortunately we have a problem with cat fleas in the home now...really small black things ...that bite. We have tried using Bob Martin flea bombs which fumigate via a plume of smoke, but sadly these do not seem to have worked,PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE does anyone reading this know how to help us rid our home of these things or perhaps can reccomend a product easily available on the market that will do this.
If you can help it would be much appreciated buy us and our cat, who now will not go onto the carpets or certain parts of the home.
