I'm an American living in Singapore on business and adopted a kitten since I've moved here and I'm not that confident in the vets here (everyone in this country hates cats, one of the highest rates of cats abuse - poor things) but the vet used a solution to clean the cats ears and gave me some hydrogen peroxide with hibitane to use to clean her ears at home. Does anyone know if this is safe - according to some searches I did on the net - some sites say it's good and some say it's not. Any experience with this??

I have a female kitten that is about 8 or nine weeks old. Ever since we got her she has had terrible gas, the sillent but deadly kind. She has only been dewormed once and is an inside cat, eats solid food. Other than this, she seems very normal, energetic and playful. Any ideas?

I adopted her from our county shelter, where they gave me a copy of her health record- indicating that 1 month ago when they recieved her, she was wormed, ears cleaned, nails trimmed, frontline, FeLv/FIV, RCCP-Felo-vax-IV and just recieved her rabies vacc.
So I dont believe she has worms, etc. and I only feed her dry science diet indoor kitten & water. No wet or people food.
Why does she have BAD gas? lol it is not constantly, but quite
a few times per day. left over anesthetic? help!

My cat, Gwen, has an ongoing issue that is pushing me to the limits. She keeps urinating on the same place on my sofa! I have tried all the products I can find at the pet store to remove all traces of her “issue”. I am now in the middle of cleaning my sofa for the umpteenth time! I have even tried putting foil on my sofa as a deterrent and after a couple of days, she whizzed on the foil! Gwen is about 2 years old, healthy and I adopted her 8 months ago. She has been doing since I got her! I do have another cat but they are best of friends, the best kitty sisters ever!

I don’t want to get rid of her, but this is getting be a real problem. Please, please help me!

He is 2 yrs old and I rescued him from a neglectful owner about 2 weeks ago. His fur was falling out because of fleas and his mouth had sores, he was malnourished and very badly treated. Now that I have him he is doing very well, he is very sweet. He is white with black ears and a black tail. Medium length fur. I want to give him a strong name he can be proud of and to give him a start on his new life, any suggestions?

I have been told that I can now get a cat that is especially made for people who suffer with an allergy to pets. Is this true? and if so can I get one in the UK? and are they expensive?

Well, sometimes when my cat gets a little excited, he'll stare at you, not breaking eye contact and frantically move his head all around, like as if it was being restrained by something. It's a very fast, very spastic action, and at the same time he makes a sheep-like sound (not purring) that sounds like if you trilled your toungue with your mouth closed. It's a very strange sound. He also makes this sound when he's trying to get your attention. Not a meow, not a pur, but a sound like a sheep makes!

Thanks.
