Your cat could be bringing home new scents, and maybe the other (the hissing one) doesn't reconize it.

I additionally would advise the Feliway. I even have heard a great style of stable issues approximately it and that's risk unfastened. yet another subject you're able to attempt is to introduce in basic terms the heady scent of the hot kitten via rubbing the kitten with a textile (an previous shirt or something) and putting the textile close to or below the grownup cats nostril alongside with something friendly, like cat treats or canned cat foodstuff. And do likewise for the kitten. yet continually pair it with something friendly, that way they each and each think of of one yet another as something friendly. And it takes out the particularly head to head stumble upon, which cats hate. Plus it supplies you you a demonstration of how the grownup cat will act once you carry the kitten domicile. If the grownup's hair on his lower back or tail puffs up, get waiting for difficulty! My boyfriend and that i've got 3 cats, we fantastically plenty in basic terms positioned them at the same time, yet i does no longer advise this technique! The youngest cat does no longer use the litterbox on the start with the aid of fact the older ones have been bullying her out of it. We had to police the litterbox for a at an analogous time as, yet they get alongside great now. in the event that they wrestled too intensely we would shake a metallic field packed with money and that would take each and all the combat out of them, lol. I additionally advise which you have a minimum of two litterboxes, ideally 3 in basic terms so as that the older cat does not attempt to maintain the kitten from making use of the litterbox or so as that the kitten does not sense he's encroaching on the older cats territory via making use of the litterbox.

at our clinic we try to warm people of this if their cat went to the vet clinic. They smell differently when they come home. They have the smells of new people, other cats, and the gas anesthesia, if they had surgery. So it is common for your cat to hiss at your other one when he comes home. It will just take a little bit of time and they should be fine again.

Mine do it too. Also if I accidentally step on on one and she yowls, the other one becomes offended and hisses at the one who got hurt. The first person a cat blames is the other cat.

How did the other cat get out for 24 hours? Be vigilant about keeping them inside and that way their scents won't change.

cats are just like poeple. sometimes they dont like each other. cats dont appreciate when their friends go places and come back acting like nothing happened. maybe the outdoor cat met up with some other cats. theres a million reasons why and so long as they get alonhg otherwise dont worry about it.

Often when they leave the house, especially for a trip to the vet, they pick up strange smells... I am sure it was the smell your kitty was upset about and in a day or so everything will be fine again.

It is possible your escapee did the "wamsutta ballet" with another kitty, homebound kitty smells a stranger, and is pretty much calling the other a s l u t. It's natural. Not really a problem. They'll work it out themselves.
