Sounds like a hernia. Has this kitten ever seen a vet? If not, this is prime opportunity to have a complete exam, vaccinated and spayed. Call your parents and let then know the situation and see if you can find a ride with borrowed money to pay the vet. Here are a couple links:

I am a licensed veterinary technician. A lot of times animals develope lumps that can be just fatty tumors, which don't usually do harm. But it would also be a cancerous tumer. But you said it is painful, which is why i would agree that it could be a hernia. She NEEDS to be seen by a veterinarian. That is the only way to know exactly what it is. If you can't get her to a vet right away, then keep a very close eye on her, and try to keep her comfortable.

If your parents aren't going to be back untill Wednesday, see if maybe a friend or family member can take you to a vet, or see if a vet near your area can do a house call. They are very compassionate people, and if they know there is no other way she can be seen, they might agree to do that.

I hope you find some help.

It does sound like a hernia, but it could be a cat bite too. My cat came home really sore once, and three days later a huge hole suddenly opened on him. Scared me to death, but it seems that cat bites start off a little tiny puncture, then infect under the skin, then kind of explode. The vet stitched him up, but is was really frightening. If the lump is warm to the touch, it could be an infection, if not, its probably a hernia, both of which will need a minor surgery. Whatever it is she does need to see a vet, but I understand your delima. I'm sure your parents left a number to call them, or there must be a family member or friend somewhere near that you could call? In the meantime, call the local animal shelter or human society and ask if they can give you any advice. Many shelters have vets visit them, so they could arrange for some help.

please describe the history of the lump. What happened and when? How large is it? what do you mean by jiggly?

If its big and just popped out, its probably a hernia and the jiggling is the smooth muscles of the lower abdomen working away. Don't let the cat back outside until a vet can stitch the internal lining of the cat's abdomen back together.

If it's small and trying to move its a parasite, and it should probably be surgically removed before it lays eggs. Surgical conditions are not easy to create at home...

Keep under a milk crate or something so it doesn't overexert itself. Get more information.

Call the ASPCA, or get that mean vet! My cat did that before she, well, just please get the vet there or get her to some help. Pet her gently and don't feed her any thing other than water or dry cat food. If the vet can't help you then ask advice on the phone from someone! Don't toch her stomach. What ever happens remember, this is'nt your fault! Your doing the best you can. I bless you and your cat good luck. The mean vet might be mean but he'll help. You'll be okay.

If it hurts your cat that is not good. Many animals get harmless lumps that are fatty tissue but this is probably not the case if they hurt.
She may have an allergy to something. Kittens can be more prone to allergies. But it could also be something more pressing and should be looked at.

If you cat is eatting and drinking she should be fine until your parents get home. If she is not at least drinking, you must get her to the vet asap. Call a friend and see if they can take her. Or ask you parents (call them) and see if you can have a MOBILE VET come to your home

Hey girl!!

First off, don't panic!! Cats are very intune to their owners, and if you are scared she will be as well. Make sure she is eating and drinking, and check her litter box to see if there appears to be blood in her urine/stools. If there doesn't, then just keep an eye on her and she should be fine until your parents get back. If there is blood, then there are emergency vet services in almost every city that will actually come and pick her up for you!! Take care of her, and good luck!!

Best answer is call a vet tell them what is going on and ask them what to do. Im sorry but it really sounds like your cat need to see the vet. Any adult around who can help you out in taking it over there?

You do need to call the vet sweetie. I think gitana failed to read part of your statement. Handling responsibility has nothing to do with the fact that your parents left you without transportation. You sound to me very responsible in trying to find a solution. Good Luck

Theres nothing you can do, YOU HAVE TO GET IT TO A VET! IF IT"S 5000000000 miles away. sorry to come off that way but it is a tumor may not be cancerous, but it has to be dealt with by a professional.
