I know she is fine - she normally just wants me to know she is going to the litter tray - then does the same thing when she gets back - or if she decides she wants a cuddle is another great wake me up at 4am!

Why shouldn't I have the cat in the bedroom, it is her house too! (Oh yeah, and we'd get NO sleep if she was howling & scratching at the door all night!)

yeah mine likes to do that too, she usually likes to sit by my head purring into my ear, or she jump of the bed and prowl around it, then she jumps up and pounces on me, she loves to frighten me half to death. She also has a habit of waking me about ten minutes before my alarm clock goes off, i hate that as i value every minute in bed. She only wants attention though it isn't her fault. I think that we are pretty lucky though as cats are supposed to be nocturnal and mine usually sleeps through 90% of the night - except for the above mentioned

Yes most cats sleep during the day and prowl around at night. It's just one of those things cats do. My cat likes attacking my eyes when I get in a deep sleep and my eyelids are fluttering.

Absolutely! But fortunately its not me, its my wife. We've got 2 cats -- the small DSH sleeps on my wife's pillow like she's a hat. Often she wakes my wife up by either burrowing/ digging in her hair or sometimes biting her scalp -- almost like she's grooming her. My previous cat used to wake me up every morning about 5 minutes before my alarm went off by standing on my chest and chewing on my ear. All kinds of fun behavior from nocturnal animals...

You are an excellent cat companion! You know that she is the prime animal in the house (it is her bed, house, etc).

She has learned that she can wake you by jumping on your head, so she does.

One of mine used to wait until I fell asleep, then she would curl herself around the top of my head (most body heat escapes through extremeties, but head is usually not under the covers).

My kitty likes to pounce on my head at around 2:00 am every morning (I keep her nails clipped just because she's scratched me a couple times just above the eye)....she'll run up and down the bed...it lasts about 20 minutes, then she'll curl next to me and fall asleep....(I guess they have bursts of energy at night!)

I have 2 cats and once they were chasing each other and ran across my face, one after another. I got woken up this morning by one of them sitting on my pillow having a wash, not the nicest sound to wake up to!

Mine just decides she is gonna lay down on my head, or drops her teddy on my head at 2am. She used to go for my feet too but now i wrap the covers round my feet. Ha.

Mine does that, do you have provocative hair? My cat likes to attack my feet too, or bring in a dead animal at 3am as a little treat for me! Bloody animal... joke, they're lovely (between 8am and 11pm anyway)
