I am fostering a cat and she is so scared that she won't come out from under my bed. She only stays in my room where she has all of the essentails. I have gotten her out from under the bed once long enough to pet her but she just ran right back under when I let her roam around.

How can I get her to come out from under the bed without ruining any possible progress I've made. I don't want her to just stay under and not make any progress. But I don't want to make her more scared than she already is.

I have these stupid 3 stray cats that keep on pooping right in front of the door to my job office. How can that be stopped? The humane society wont come get them either.

Declawing is not like a manicure. It is serious surgery. Your cat's claw is not a toenail. It is actually closely adhered to the bone. So closely adhered that to remove the claw, the last bone of your the cat's claw has to be removed. Declawing is actually an amputation of the last joint of your cat's "toes". When you envision that, it becomes clear why declawing is not a humane act. It is a painful surgery, with a painful recovery period. And remember that during the time of recuperation from the surgery your cat would still have to use its feet to walk, jump, and scratch in its litter box regardless of the pain it is experiencing. Wheelchairs and bedpans are not an option for a cat

But, I noticed today that she has a cut on her leg and a very swollen paw, after she was finished eating, she washed herself with it, so I know its not broken, is there anything we can put in her food to help with the healing process?

I am taking her to the doctor tomorrow but I'd like to ease my mind by what this could possably be.
I bought her a collar with the glow-in-the-dark print on it and she started to get bumps around her neck, so i thought it was just an allergic reaction. Since then, they haven't gone away, and she started to lose hair on her back near her tail. I'm really worried about her, I am taking her to the doctor but I just can't wait to find out what is wrong with her.
She also has been acting different, she seems to sleep in these weird positions and sleeps more than ever. not like a half-awake sleep, but dead asleep, usually she wakes up really easy.
please be sensitive, I don't want any rude remarks.
Thank you.

It doesn't seem to hurt him ( I can press on it and move it around) and it's been there for a few months. We have a checkup in December, should I go earlier?

It doesn't really matter the time. I wake up to her licking my face and arms. I'm glad that she is so affectionate, but I need sleep! It has nothing to do with hunger, I leave a bowl of food out for her, she just won't go over to it until I'm awake. What do I do?

I have asked a few questions already and would like to thank all the people that have sent in answers to me, my cat rosie is still with us I think just about, I was advised by the PDSA to have her put down two weeks ago but brought her home and got a second opinion from a private vet, she had some test done she has a heart murmour and her kidneys are on border line she had some injections a lot of tests run and a course of antibiotics she has to have medicine before her food to help her keep it down. I am still awaiting results from the Feline Centre in Bristol where the vet sent her blood samples. She is at the moment quite weak and for the last two days not eaten but for the past fortnight she was almost her old self even started to wash herself, could not beleive it and now the last two days she has been off of her food I feel so bad making her take the medicine three times a day, but I can not give up on her unless I am told she is beyound help I wont. what do you think?

Ok, so my sister used to have a technique, she found it in a book, on what to give your cat, ie food and vitimins, to make them less likely to make people have allergic reactions to them. She can't find the book and she can't remember exactly what she did. I want to get a cat but also want my family that is allergic to cats to still be able to come over.

WHat she remembers is:
gave them vitimin E everyday (She believes)
gave tune water once a week
thats all she can remember though
Can someone please help thank you!!!

On Halloween, I had to put my 7 year old Bengal cat to sleep. He was a very stressed out cat. Last year, he started attacking us for no reason. He would be fine one minute and the next minute he would scratch and bite and hiss at you. We took him to the vet and he said physically he was very healthy but he was a very nervous cat. He gave us some feliway which worked in the beginning but he still had times where he still flipped out of nowhere. We recently bought a house and he started running out the house and not coming back for hours. I was a nervous reck. We have 4 kids one who is special needs. Everyone kept telling the best thing for him was to put him to sleep because a cat that stressed is not happy. I feel horrible and I just keep seeing his scared little face when I said good-bye to him. I couldn't even kiss him good-bye because even though he was up-to-date with shots he attack and bit my daughter so he spent the last 10 days in animal control. I miss him so much

no really, im not trying to be perverse. you know how some cats like to be "tapped" real hard on their lower back half, why do you think they like that?

I have had outdoor kittens B4 but know I have an indoor kitten and she doesn't seem to use the litter box very often maybe 2 or 3 times a day. My question is, Is the kitten not using the litter box and I have hidden land mines somewhere or do they not go to the restroom very often?
