when they talk of dogs being better than cats, hardly any sounds better. This is why i think cats are better.

they don't meow at everything that moves.
They don't kill people. (baby death by cats is a myth)
They are strongly independent. They will come whenever they want, they are ok when alone.
They know what food is theirs. They ain't messy eaters either.
You don't have to clean up their turds in the backyard, just in the litterbox. Which i find easier and not bad at all.
They don't need to do tricks, they are independent thinkers. That is why i love 'em.
They don't trash the entire house.
They don't chase wheels. they playfully chase your heels.
Kittens are fun and playful, adult cats are more into solitude. Puppies are smelly and destructive. Adult dogs slaughters kids.
Cats don't need to do whatever a human says, dogs only do it because they are commanded. not because they wanted to.

so why is it that people wants to believe dogs are better? i prefer cats over dogs forever.

My cat, whom I love very much but who is very... well, not so smart. She is fixed, and she is an outside cat. She has a litter box!! But our garden has a layer of tarp to keep weeds from growing, and then a layer of lots and lots of little rocks on that for decoration, and she keeps pooping in this corner of the rocks. I have cleaned up the poop and I have sprinkled this keep away stuff on it, but it only works for twenty four hours under good weather, and it isn't cheap. How can I keep my cat from pooping in our garden? And how the heck to I get rid of the smell? Even after being cleaned and sprayed with water the spot still stinks... really bad. Please help! I love my cat very much but this is not fun at all.

I am using roach and flea fogger throughout my house accept for the kitchen. I need to leave the house for 4 hours while the spray settles. I am wondering if it's safe to leave my cat in a large closet in the kitchen that has a door, shut the door, then not spray in the kitchen and keep the kitchen door shut and put a towel under the door so NO spray can possibly get in. Is that safe enough for the cat to stay in while I bomb the other places in the house? Thanks! Just want to make sure I am taking safe care of the cat.

Is valerian safe for my cats? I take capsules to help me rest at night, and whenever they smell it they go absolutely crazy and try to grab it out of my hands, almost like they do with a catnip toy.

My name is Robby. Some people call me Robby Retard because I am kind of slow. That's not nice. My mom died and left me some money and I want a cat. I called a car pet store and told them I lived in a van. They said they sold rugs but would sell me a cat for $1,175.00. Do you think that is a good price? The cat would be black because my van is black.

My cat had two kittens and when trying to determine the sex from their private areas we think we have determined which is which, but we are a little confused as it seems the male cat has nipples. Does anyone know if they should have or are we wrong completely.

One of my kittens has been exposed to this one blanket...he's never been around it before I dont think. But whenever he gets around this blanket...he bites on to it, and then starts..like pushing his paws, from left to right, in a slow motion. Like kneading the blanket almost, haha. He doesnt run off with it, or even tear away, he remains with a piece in his mouth and just slowly doing that to the blanket for minutes...

Why is he doing this? Is this sexually charged act? Is it something with this blanket?!

I know all cats are different, but have you found that calmer cats and kittens mostly come from relatively sedate homes, while the frisky ones come from busy or chaotic homes?

My cat was diagnosed with a urinary tract infection yesterday. The doc gave him an antibiotic shot, and some pills to take for the next 7 days (Clavamox 125mg). He has not improved at all yet today, and I am now noticing blood in his urine (none was visible until now). Is this a sign that it could be something more serious, or could the antibiotic be causing that? Thank you!!
