Hi there...depending on what the other kitty died from may be key to your Bengal's illness as well. Did by any chance the vet indicate if this was a contagious feline disease? A history of the cat needs to be answered as well as more evaluations made in order to properly diagnose your kitty.

Enlarged lymph nodes can be indicative of infections, diseases, cancer and too many other disorders difficult to pinpoint.

Out of fairness to you and your Bengal it would be inappropriate for any of us to speculate as to what is causing your Bengal to be sick and how to best treat her. Only a licenced medical practitioner should be consulted and entrusted rather than any of us here on Yahoo Answers -- myself included.

Consider contacting a feline-only veterinarian for a second opinion as they only treat cats and are more familiar with feline diseases and disorders.

I truly hope everything will be alright as Bengals are precious like all cats.

I have to assume your vet already tested for the following diseases:

My cat went through this about three months ago. She was vomiting and very weak. I took her to the vet and he did some blood work. All came back fine. He said it was most likely a virus and put her on antibiotics. She was also very dehydrated from vomiting so he gave her fluids through an IV.

It took about 48 hours after the first anitbiotic dose before she was feeling better, but she is fully recovered now.

Take your cat to the vet. I wouldn't use the same vet that treated your other cat. From what you describe there was no reason for surgery.

Unfortunately, yes...I've had experience with something like this.

My cat was vomitting about 3-4 hrs. after every meal. Vet tried to say it was hairballs, but I kept telling him it was only liquid she was throwing up...no hair was in the vomit.

Finally convinced the vet to do some blood tests (she had a very high white blood cell count) and x-rays on her and found out she had cancer. Not saying your kitty does...but that was the case with mine. I ended up having to put my baby down...which I still feel incredibly guilty about. But I didn't want to subject her to chemo 2-3 times/week.

Anyway, if I were you, I'd take your female into the vet ASAP.

You should get your cat to the vet ASAP. Sometimes vomiting is just caused from an upset stomach. Once they start becoming lethargic, then the kitty is going into a whole other step of really being sick. Have your vet do a fecal, and blood work. I hope that your kitty gets better.

Hey there...I hope you will take a second opinion with a cat doctor like Seattle stated. They may be able to help you more since cats are their specialty. I will pray for your Bengal because no kitty should ever have to suffer because they are all special to us. Especially, Bengal kitties which I love heaps.

Feline leukemia and Feline HIV are not the same things but both can be fatal to cats, and both are contagious for cats but not humans. Have your vet check for these diseases.
