The cat protection league might have an office near you. They're a great charity and they always have cats and kittens who need good homes, they do have a website www.cats.org.uk. I've adopted two kittens form them and they had their first set of jabs and i received a voucher to get a discount when i had them spade at my local vet.

Theres a cat protection in Wallsend with a list of cats needing homes.Also in Benton there is a cat and dog shelter.

pawz for thought in sunderland are really good but you have to have the perfect home for a cat coz they wont just give a cat to anyone, they do thorough checks and a home visit. The cats protection league in newcastle are lovely too, they've both got websites.

There is a really good cat and dog shelter in Benton. It's called Benton Farm and it has loads of cats and dogs, not to mention other types of animals.
